A great way to spend a day is to take a ferry to Block Island and to explore the island. The ferry ride takes around 50 min one way. The island offers a lot: beaches, nature wild life, lakes ... all worth to visit. A good way to do zhat is by push bike. There are some places where bikes... More

The traditional ferries (Block Island, Carol Jean and Anna C) are all kept in great condition (which sadly deteriorates as the season wears on) and are reasonably comfortable. If you're looking for air conditioning, take the high speed ferry (Athena). Car reservations are a must, I make my July and August reservations in March (earlier the better).

Block Island is a popular place in the summer, either get to the boat early or purchase your ticket online. They serve food, drinks and alcohol on the boats. It is a quick ride to get to the Island and it is a pretty trip over. The crew are always friendly and the boat is always clean.

The traditional ferry takes 2 hours round trip from Point Judith to Block Island at $ 45 for 2 seniors.. The 1 hour tour of Block Island by taxi costs $75 for the hour. It would be helpful to have 3 couples split the fee.In April, there were only 2 taxi's available at Old Harbor. The tour was informative and... More

As we live close to where the ferry is dock it was a short ride to the pier. It was not easy to find a parking space but we finally did. Getting on was easy and the roundtrip fare was reasonable. It takes about forty five minutes to arrive at the Island. The weather was perfect and we had a... More

Its a pleasant ride over the Island. The ferry is always neat and tidy. There s a concession stand on board and you can get the usual junk food and drinks, fruit etc.

Only an hour long trip over to the island. Do not judge them based on whether the sea was rough; it is not their fault! Always a wonderful experience, and every time I see the ferry I'm excited to go back to the Block.
