This has to be the most extreme adventure I have ever had. Jumping out of a plane at 10,000 feet (3050 m) is something you don't forget. This is surely not for everyone. The tandem jump was perfectly organized and executed, my partner was Eric. The entire operation is so well done that there is an absolute confidence from start to finish. To start, there is a short film detailing the joint effort between the jumpers. There is also detailed explanation of each step leading to the actual jump. The ride up to jump altitude takes a bit of time and the plane is not designed for long term comfortability. While I had no fear there was a little confusion~ jumping out of a plane at 10,000 does go against your instincts. The 15 second free fall is exciting but the five minutes drifting down is breathtaking offering a peaceful, panoramic view of the area. The landing was smooth which continued to show the high level of professional integrity of Skydive Newport. I did go for the video as this was my first jump. I'd jump again with them in a heartbeat!

This is not for everyone! However for those seeking the ultimate adventure, try this. This was the second time I jumped with Eric as my guide. Prior to jumping there is a short film explaining the dos and don'ts as well as your responsibility and what to expect from from your instructor. Then, you will sign a waiver. It is important to arrive an hour ahead of your scheduled time. There were eight of us so we went up in groups of two, being suited up just prior to boarding the plane.. After ascending to 10,000' (3050 m), you are strapped to your instructor. Before you know it you are free falling for a few seconds then WA LA the parachute opens and you begin the gentle drift down, taking around five minutes before landing! The view is spectacular and the thrill unparalleled! Caution, this can be addictive! Shout out to Eric, I'll see you next year. ~ Safe, friendly and knowledgeable sums up the staff and experience.

First time jumping! Had a fantastic time at Skydive Newport. Staff was great at explaining safety measures and what to expect and when. Everyone was super knowledgeable, professional and fun. Made me feel right at ease from beginning to end. Views of Newport were spectacular!!! Can’t wait to go again next year!!!

I have jumped with Skydive Newport 3x now over the last 6ish years.
I will keep coming back. I've jumped with friends, and most recently-- my mom!
The staff is *most importantly* concerned with safety. They are knowledgeable and passionate about skydiving, but they are also friendly and make you feel welcome / at ease. Their picture packages are super high quality, which is a plus. The view doesn't get any better.
All around- Highly recommend!
I will keep coming back. I've jumped with friends, and most recently-- my mom!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Marc, Chris, staff are awesome. Addictive. Thrilling. Emotional. Peace. Sunsets. Dropping free fall from 10,000 feet. Pretty freakin cool. Enjoy. Get the picture, video package!! I did not. Gotta go back for more. Enjoy.

Absolutely amazing experience all around! The owner and staff were great to work with and so knowledgeable with years and years of experience. This was our first time skydiving and we cannot wait to jump again! Definitely recommend the photo package. Photos were already in our inbox before we got home and were fantastic. THANK YOU!!!

This was the best skydiving experience of my life! I went with a friend to do a tandem jump at Skydive Newport, and I was blown away by the professionalism of the staff, the clean/neat/modern facility, and especially the knowledge and experience of the instructors. Chris and Eric are AMAZING, and the view from above can't be beat! I'll be jumping there again soon!

Skydive Newport ROCKS!!! The entire team are top notch, professional, friendly, and safety is their number one priority! Can’t recommend them enough! We picked this location for the view and it didn’t disappoint. The facility is clean and perfect for jumpers and spectators with picnic tables and umbrellas right at the landing zone for optimal viewing! If you are thinking of skydiving🪂 Sykdive Newport is the place to do it!

I went skydiving with my best friend last week for the first time and I cannot stop talking about it. The pre-registration is very simple and easy. Our instructors were so nice and made us feel very safe the entire time. On the plane ride up to 10,000ft, they pointed out different landmarks and places in New England. It was so cool to see the Newport Mansions, Martha's Vineyard, and Block Island from that far up. When it was time to jump, I was SO nervous but my instructor opened the door to the plane and we were out! He didn't give me time to second guess- which I was thankful for. The decent was amazing; the scenery was beautiful and my instructor let me steer the parachute which was fun. For anyone considering skydiving, I highly recommend it, it was a day I will never forget.
