Newport National Golf Club is one of New England's finest golf courses....

Newport National Golf Club is one of New England's finest golf courses. Located in Middletown RI, this award winning 200-acre golf course is your number one choice for a round of golf in Rhode Island. Newport National which started out as a landscape nursery is now deemed the "Number One Public Access Course in New England," by New England Golf Monthly. Newport National is a 7,200-yard, par 72 championship golf course as well as an open space tribute to environmental sensitivity. Built to challenge golfers of every skill level, including the best in the world, this links-style course will take your breath away with its beautiful vistas of the Atlantic Ocean and the Sakonnet Passage. The fescue-lined, bentgrass fairways, tees and greens will remind you of the great courses of Ireland. The bridle trail and restored natural areas will illustrate our vision of a golf course built in harmony with the land. Golf course architects Arthur Hills and Drew Rogers used this former nursery farm and orchard as the canvas upon which to craft their masterpiece. We are honored to have you experience our addition to the rich golf heritage of Rhode Island and encourage you to see it for yourself.

I'm an avid golfer and had a chance to play while in Newport. NNGC is excellent golf. Staff is very friendly, and the course is very demanding your first time out but very playable. Arthur Hills built a great layout, but some local knowledge is advised. There are a few holes where forced carries need accurate yardages. Condition 5/5. Layout... More

played today. really good layout and course condition is good for this time of year. $55 with a cart is a good deal. Not many amenities other that the great course but we had a round on the outdoor deck after the round. Yes the club house is a trailer and there is no range but a great course and... More

Just played yesterday. Not as much as I was hoping for. Not even a real club house. What happened here? Course is in nice condition though. Quite a few odd lay outs. Shooting gallery here and there. Greens are the oddest I have played. So many severe nooks and crannies on the greens and you have to wonder why. I... More

The course is in excellent shape. It's open to the public and is relatively inexpensive. We each paid $65 for golf and a shared cart. There is a small deck with a bar for an after-golf adult beverage.

It is a great layout, in excellent condition in a nice farmland setting, called links style because of the relative lack of trees on the course, but it's really a parkland layout with a few forced carries and some run up options to the greens. The course it's is challenging and varied, but as noted in other reviews, was intended... More

I want to play there even so I've given up the game. Matt Adams the pro is my wife is first cousins once removed, his mom was at our wedding and we've been to her home.

It's an all day excursion to get down to Middletown to play this wonderful links style course. It's one of the better courses in New England, but not really worth the nutty greens fees.

Just a wondeful gem of a links style course. Great condition and a joy to play! We would certainly play here again. Only issue was the score card nor the tee box showed the each holes layout.
