Don't go to the Cape, just start your day driving to Newport, RI stopping at Carolyn's Sakonnet Vineyard. This is a perfect place to spend the afternoon trying wines and having a picnic on the grounds of the Vineyard. There is a cafe with a limited menu and there are many wines to test while you are there. There is... More

I hadn't been here in a while a I live in NH. I was wondering if things had changed since there was change in owners. I was not disappointed, it was better if that's possible. I am aware that the vineyard staff has not changed and has been working in the vineyard for years. It was my sister in law's... More

My wife and I were both pleasantly surprised by this winery in Rhode Island. Have been to a few wineries in Massachusetts and Maine, and Sakonnet is much better than all other New England wineries we've tried. Tasting is relatively generous. Nice visit on a crisp autumn day.

We came here at the recommendation of a lot of websites. The scenery here is top notch and the wines are great. They have a great mix of sweet and dry and delivered with the dessert wines. The building structure had a cozy feeling and we loved how it was decorated. So why a 3 star? When we got here... More

Lovely vineyard with excellent wines and food. Nice staff. Warning there are only three tables at the cafe in the colder months so enjoy a bottle of their excellent wine while you wait. Please have a few more indoor seats as we love your cafe.

Once you get through the traffic to Rt 77 and start driving towards the winery you know you are going somewhere special. Of course the weather was amazing, 74 degrees on Oct. 18th but the scenery would be beautiful at any time. And then we reached the entrance to the winery! Beautiful drive in - opening onto a wide vista... More

The drive home from a weekend getaway seemed like the perfect time to explore an out of state winery. We were awe struck the moment we got around the first curve of the driveway. Outdoor seating, vines as far as we could see, and a relaxed atmosphere. Inside we were met with a bright, open space and friendly, easygoing sommeliers.... More

We have visited the Vineyard in Little Compton, R.I. twice, and enjoyed both visits. It's a relaxing place to sit in lovely surroundings - lots of outdoor chairs and tables. Only drawback is that they do not allow you to bring your own food or drink, and must buy anything from the Winery. We discovered they have added a takeout... More

Beautiful Vineyard, great food and very good wine. Arrived just before the 3pm tour, which by the way is free. After our tour, we did the wine tasting where we we're able to try seven of the wines available. We should have eaten first. So, we we're called to our table in the middle of our tasting which wasn't a... More

The tasting room of the winery has a restaurant, and we had a surprisingly good lunch. We started with seared ahi tuna sashimi with a sesame seed crust over really good seaweed salad. A couple of us had the Winemaker's Salad, which was tomato, cucumber, avocado and chicken on greens dressed with a light tangy dressing. A couple had flatbread... More
