The staff at this campground are amazing. We arrived early evening on the opening day for a 4 night stay. We were tired after a long drive, and were greeted by a young man at the gate who was super helpful, patient, and funny, despite...More

Fort Getty Park costs $10 or 15 to enter, if you're not camping or a resident ($15/year). Boat trailer access and parking are available. Large covered pavilion for inclement weather, several bath houses, fishing pier, and several small beaches on the bay. For campers there...More

Wow, Fort Getty is really a gem. The location is gorgeous and serene. The campground is mostly RV's so it is not for people who prefer secluded tent camping. There is also not tree cover in the upper campground area, so be sure to bring...More

Just the most peaceful scenic park to be in the Fall, Winter and Spring. In the summer it is also amazing but is taken over by summer RV's, there is plenty of room to still enjoy the beaches and cove and what a place to...More

I'm surprised I'm the first one to write about their skunk problem. We even had an employee come to our campground to warn us about it. The skunks will come right up to you and eat out of your hand if you let them. A...More

I don't think FULL is the best description. There is water and 110 (only) power at all RV sites, but you have to travel 1/4 mile to dump effluent.

Good question: Visited only briefly. Do not recall seeing any fireplace structures (cinder block, brick, metal). As mentioned by Jtwnit, they offer a fire ring. You can contact the park folks at (401) 423-7211
