    Amazing experience
Amazing views from various locations. This area was great, went with my teenager, 8-year-old and wife everything was picture perfect. Rocks are easy to climb and descend so we were able to view different formations. Considering the bathrooms were just outhouses they were surprisingly clean. We loved the fact we could sit on the grass and relax/picnic or explore the cliffs. This area has something for everyone, and nobody will be disappointed. First time going but we will definitely be returning.

A unique lighthouse since the base is square.
We had a good time walking around and taking in the breathtaking views. The lighthouse was neat to see since it had a square base instead of the traditional round structure. We didn't go inside, but the grounds were very neat.

What a great free park to sit & stay awhile. So picturesque, you just want to bring your blanket or chairs to just sit & take in the water, watch the boats & the locals fish. Of course you have the working light house to check out… (can’t go up only on special dates) but still fun to see the house & learn about the history. There is free parking spread out, it can get busy with car’s coming & going at all different times. There are Bathrooms… 4-5 composting pit toilets… very clean when I went in.

Wonderful lighthouse museum and gorgeous spot for watching the ocean waves break over the rocks at Beavertail
I loved it the first time I visited in August and made second trip back with my husband a month later before the Lighthouse Museum closed for the season. The best lighthouse museum I have been too by far. The docents are friendly and informative, as are the exhibits. The park is an absolutely gorgeous spot for sitting, walking or picnicking.

There are beautiful views of the shoreline around this scenic lighthouse. The museum provides a glimpse into the lighthouse and area history. You can relax and sit on the grass or explore the shoreline. They do have a limited schedule for climbing to the top of the lighthouse, so you may want to check that in advance. There is parking, but do to popularity of the site, it may be quite full.

Beavertail is great for a picnic, kites, or a hike. There are panoramic views of Narragansett Bay. We went for sunset and it was a gorgeous night. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a low-key, outdoorsy time.

Beavertail State Park encompasses 153 acres at the southern end of Conanicut Island in Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island. From the air, the island resembles a beaver's tail, hence the name.
At this park, you can visit a historic lighthouse, see the remnants of an old fort, explore tide pools and walk along coastal trails. Many people we saw were simply relaxing in the ocean breeze with the sound of waves crashing against the rocks.
We visited the park with our dog. It is a dog friendly place. We walked by the remains of Battery Whiting on our way to the lighthouse.
I went into the museum while hubby waited outside with the dog. The museum is staffed by volunteers who show the artifacts to visitors. There are storyboards and a short film. The tower is only open for climbing occasionally. It was closed the day I visited.

Beaverton lighthouse is quite a nice place. The lighthouse itself is very well preserved, though not the tallest. The location is outstanding, and when it is open to climb the views from the top are very nice as well. Make sure to check in advance the hours of the museum and gift shop, as well as the hours that the tower is open to climb. A five dollar donation is sought for climbers of the tower. You will feel like you are in Maine enjoying the rocky coast. Sunset is beautiful here.

We went here with family. It was nice to go down by the rocks and feel the sea breeze.

There are port-a-potties around. Lots of people just bringing their own chairs and umbrellas to chill out, what the ocean and boats.

We didn't have time to check out the lighthouse.

Saw a few people flying kites and a number of people fishing and getting some nice sized fish.

There was no entrance fee when we went.

Drove through on an overcast drizzly Sunday and it is STILL beautiful. Not the most romantic appearing lights but the point it is built on has nice vegetation, colors, and vistas. It was really breezy that day and fun to walk around in. Restroom facilities are available. Apparently this is not a bad place to go fishing either.

Visited on a sunny, breezy February weekend. The views of Narragansett Bay were stunning! Leisurely walk from the parking area around the lighthouse and the surrounding areas. Great place for photo's and in warmer weather a picnic or maybe just a serious daydreaming session! Great way to relax and enjoy the area!
