Gorgeous view from all the park. Make sure you get a chance to climb the lighthouse for a better view. The museum is very interesting and interactive. The volunteer staff are knowledgeable and one's father was actually a lighthouse keeper here. Donate generously to keep this gem alive.

We spent about 2 hours here one Sunday. The lighthouse was open for tours so we listened to an informative talk by one of the volunteers and then climbed to the top for some fantastic panoramic views. The lighthouse is open for tours only twice per month so check the website for dates. They ask for a $5.00 donation per... More

I have spent many wonderful days sunbathing on the rocks at Beavertail. It's such an easy way to spend a day by the ocean. Parking is abundant and free, there's no sand to contend with, and it's rarely crowded. I love it.

Went for tide pool exploration, but my five year old loved the touch pool in the small aquarium, and whole family appreciated views. One can stand on rocks adjacent to crashing waves. Interesting displays and knowledgeable guide in keepers home. Ten minute drive to eateries in Jamestown village. Well maintained, chemical free outdoor toilets.

We had a great time here! Just planned to go for a short drive and instead spent the afternoon. Very family friendly, aquarium is fun (very small), clean toilets and beautiful views! The ledge is rocky but with help our 10,8,4, and 2 yr old were able to manage it and check out the tide pools. Well worth going to... More

This is a great inexpensive way to spend an afternoon with family and pets! We walked our baby around this park in a jogging stroller and our dog with no issue. The views are amazing. The park dates back to 1749 as some of the placards state and there are old WWII coastal artillery emplacement sites. A great place for... More

This is the place to go to see the ocean front at its finest. We brought a friend here who lived in the mi-west and had not been to the ocean. She was in awe and mesmerized. The waves breaking against the rocks can not be adequately described. The lighthouse is beautiful. The view across to bay to Newport can... More

The is my Favorite place to visit with my Dog and family and friends. People bring their food and picnic here or just bring a recliner chair and sits on the rocks or lawn. Visit the small little museum and you can either set out on the road but I prefer a trail I know that goes along the water... More
