A volunteer engine driver unlocked and gave us an unrushed, excellent tour of the 2-story museum, which was packed with the actual historical items used in Jamestown. A manual pumping engine was very interesting. Most of the items are still in working condition. Be sure to see the historical photos on the second floor. Our guide also let us see the current modern equipment and explained how fires are arrested. This 140-person volunteer force is very impressive!

A surprisingly wonderful collection of old firefighting equipment in a historically accurate firehouse. Volunteers demonstrated how the old alarm pull boxes worked during our visit

This museum is awesome, and the volunteer fire fighters who created it and manage it are a treasure themselves. If you have any interest is firefighting, history or trucks this shouldn't be missed. Kids of all ages will be delighted!

My grandson enjoyed himself oh so much. He is almost 3 years old. They had an old small fire truck for him to ride. He got a plastic fireman hat. He got to sit on an old and a new fire truck. They also have some very old fire trucks to look at. The people there are very very nice. I highly recommend spending some quality time at this museum.

A lovely novelty in a darling small town on a charming island. What is there not to like? Nearby are cute restaurants and if you walk down Narragansett Avenue you will come to the harbor and a beach. Great for kids!

Go back in time by visiting this museum. The volunteer firefighters for Jamestown are very welcoming and the museum was fun for my daughter to explore. After we looked here, the firefighters showed us the modern working fire engines too. Great place to explore.

We stumbled upon this attraction while casually walking around Jamestown during the holiday. The volunteers were friendly and cordial. A lot of great information was offered. As a former Volunteer Fireman from very long ago, I had to decline the opp to buy a tee-shirt or make a small donation, as I only had my credit cards on me. Hopefully, this review will help others prepare for a visit and donation. Stop by; highly recommended!

We were a bit disappointed that the museum was not open. It surely would be nice to visit. We took the opportunity to take a few photos though.
