This was a very relaxing and affordable way to see the ports in the area, and get great views of the water. Our favorite stop was seeing the light house and barracks and Rose Island. My suggestion is to get an early start around 9, because the schedule on the brochure and my understanding of when it stops and arrives was not clear until I actually got on it and listened to our guide. Maybe you can make sense of it. We parked for free in Jamestown, purchased our tickets on the boat, and loved the fact that it was not a crowded tour. We could ask the operators random questions and they were super nice and engaged in casual conversation. We met an older couple who used this as their daily mode of transportation for three days of their trip.

We will have to take a look at the brochure schedule with your comments in mind. Thank you for the feedback, so glad you enjoyed the ride.

Not only was the cruise interesting with gorgeous views, the crew was outstanding. My fiance and I got engaged the night before and they gave us each a free drink of our choice and congratulated us over the loudspeaker. When my phone died, the bartender unplugged her ipad (which takes orders) and let me charge my phone. Would love to do this again!

Newly refurbished boat. Beautiful inside and out. Nice 1 hour cruise of the harbor. I like the narration but also the times, you could just sit back and enjoy the sounds of the ocean. Refreshments sold on board at a reasonable price. We bought our ticket a few hours before our cruise and I love the auto reminder sent to your phone.
Crew was nice, boat clean with lots of seating, mostly shaded.

So disappointed to be on a buoy in Jamestown, Connanicut marina and not having any kind of service other than a launch to the shore where all but the Narragansett Cafe is open for drinks and food. No delivery and even the launch is not adhering to the “no wake”. It’s insane to pay $130 per night on a buoy and not getting any king of service!

Great way to travel to Newport without the hassle of finding parking there. Free onsite parking at the ferry terminal, and the cost is very reasonable. In approximately one hour we arrived in Newport. Walkable distance to the visitor's center and also to shops and restaurants. If you want to visit the mansions or do the cliff walk, you will not be able to get there on foot, but there are tours.

Thank you Captain Dan and crew for a very enjoyable ride onboard the Coastal Queen around the harbor. The boat is beautiful and the Captain and crew were very accommodating. I would highly recommend a trip on the Coastal Queen for friends and/or families.

My family and I absolutely loved this tour. The boat was beautiful, staff was extreme friendly and accommodating, bathrooms clean, tour interesting, and great value for the price overall. We are very sensitive to COVID cleanliness and care as my wife is a medical professional. The staff all wore masks, cleaned and cared for surfaces. Highly recommend this boat ride.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review. The Coastal Queen crew works hard, especially during these pandemic times, so we are sooooo glad you took note and felt comfortable on board. Please join us again!

Took the ferry from the Anne Street Pier on what was to be a 1 hr. harbor tour stopping at Ft. Adams, Rose Is (lighthouse), Jamestown and Perrotti Park (Bowen Wharf) before returning to Anne St.. It turned out to be over 2 hours as they had a crew change and ferry clean up in Jamestown. That gave us about 35 minutes at J'town pier, enough time to stop in the small bar on the pier and have a nice cool glass of wine and a refreshing local lager. The swing around the harbor gave you a waterside view of the mega yachts, multitude of sailing vessels, up close view of Rose Is. lighthouse and Fort Adams and the three masted schooner moored there. The vessel was comfortable, spic and span clean, and captained and mated by a helpful crew. Definitely worth the $16 fare--probably the best deal in Newport!!

Coastal Queen event tours leaving from Jamestown. I have taken four of them this summer and all were great!

The crew is very friendly. Each time the route taken was a bit different. The ride is smooth.

There is bar service (credit cards are accepted) and no food allowed onboard so plan to eat before or after.

Sunsets are beautiful with the Newport bridge as a back drop.

in Jamestown there is a Ferry that will take you to Newport and let you off at a place intown at the docks. It is a bit more than if you paid for parking in town itself. But if you are there for a while not so much. In town you do not drive around so walking is a good way to see most of downtown. Only if you want to see the homes or do 10 mile drive do you need a car. The beaches are out of town so you would need a car to get around. But we like this. 1st time visitors may want to bring a car and check things out. The ferry is truly a good way to see the harbor up close. Kids love the ride. Adults will love the harbor.
