I only moved here a year and a half ago and these museums provided many more reasons for me to want to call York County my new home. While all the museums and library are vastly informative the Agricultural and Industrial museum is my favorite and we take all our friends and relatives who visit us to that museum. All... More

Just happened to find this place while attending the Yorkfest Art show. This place details the industrial history of York. Lots of cars, steam engines and history. Really very interesting. Could have spend even more than the 3 hours that we did spend here.

We visited the YCHT to do some family history research and were VERY impressed with how well organized their research area is! The staff was extremely helpful. The cost was $8 per person, but once we realized how much they had to offer, we added the amount needed to have a membership. We'll definitely be back! Be aware of their... More

As a family historian I have done research many times at the YCHT. There are times I still feel like a dear in the headlights there. There is just so much to look through it can be overwhelming especially to first timers. I would encourage them to do a little online review of sources available and bring as much information... The heritage trust is sort of library, museum, genealogical hunting place. When you walk in you see the beautiful architecture of the building. The inside is massive and holds tons of information. I was looking for genealogical information and they had more than I ever could have imaged finding. The resource person was very helpful and assisted me through the... More

great to take the tour and look back in time. but if you have a. end for a business meeting it could be leased to host a large group and have it catered. Fun time and unique atmosphere. you need a good meeting planner and catering and you have a great place to entertain

I brought a visitor from Pittsburgh to see the history of my town, York PA. The museum at the Heritage Trust was great. Included in the price were tours of other attractions in York..the Bonham House, Golden Plough Tavern, General Gates house and the Colonial Court House. York played an important role in the American Revolution and not many people... More

The Trust is a York landmark, steeped in 120 years of savoring York's heritage. In process of reinventing its approach, YCHT is Amazing!

I was a membership holder for several years, and never visited any of their sites. I was curious about the history of a place I worked downtown, so I went into the Trust to do some research. I attempted to find the information without asking anyone, but once I asked, they said that all of their information on the site... More

We visited the York County Agricultural & Industrial Museum at 217 Princess Street in York, Pennsylvania. This was well worth a visit. The museum was well coordinated and clean. Within, one could re-live the booming industrial age of Pennsylvania.....the beginning of air conditioning, flight, automobiles, telephones, printing, pianos, modern coffins, weight lifting equipment, screen doors and locked safes. They have... More
