Outrageously overpriced
Jun 2021 • Family
Went there today and I was extremely disappointed. They charge you $8 a person to ride on the wagon to go to the area to pick the blueberries then you are charged $4 a bushel for blueberries. Out of all the places that I have been this is the only place charges a wagon fee to pick the berries. Once you got back after picking the berries we sat down to listen to a two person band. I was shocked to hear lyrics about getting laid and the use of illicit drugs. I will never patronage this place again.

Nice Christmas display
Jan 2021 • Solo
I went here for the Christmas drive through. The lights and displays are top notch. The whole display is themed. One area had a 12 days of Christmas and another a farming theme while another was landmarks around the world. There was also an area where trees were lit in red and white lights to look like a candy canes and some cartoon characters. The farm market looked nice with a great selection but I didn't buy anything. The Candy Cane Lane was a free walk through. It was small and consisted of one trail that wrapped around itself. However it had one bridge and two light tunnels. All the lights blinked to Christmas music.

Spectacular 2020 Holiday Light Show
Dec 2020
The 2020 Xmas Light Show was spectacular. We had visited here about 4 years ago, but this show was even better. Thank you for the treat! We four adults enjoyed the drive through very much our 14 year old teenager was not quite so enthused. Next to us was a car with three young children peaking out of the sunroof and they were totally in awe. It was fun to see them point at everything.

Spectacular light show!
Dec 2020
Attended the Shady Brook Farms light show. In a word = spectacular. $25 for a weeknight carload, well worth it. Acres upon acres of magnificent lights on display. Every time I thought it was ending we drove into another section of lights. Many lights are animated. My little one year old grandson sat mesmerized. If you get the opportunity, don’t miss it.

Quite a Christmas experience
Nov 2020
Incredible Christmas light show that goes on for acres and acres. You can either view it by car (drive through) or wagon ride (recommended). If you take the wagon ride, then there are also open fire pits and you can buy a package that contains everything to make s'mores. There is also a kids playground and some goats to see and feed. And there is an opportunity to meet Santa if you can wait that long on line.

Fun & Safe Fall Fest
Oct 2020 • Family
My family went here one beautiful fall morning. I bought tickets a week ahead of time (after checking the weather) and reserved the 10:00 time slot. I’m glad we went early, even though it never got super crowded since the number of people were monitored by the reserved time slots. We were the first ones on the hayride, so we didn’t have to wait in line. Other than that, we didn’t encounter any other lines. The kids enjoyed the animals, chicken show, spider web and park. My 4 and 1/2 year old son loved the bikes/cars, the haunted barn and the trampoline. We felt safe there with distancing, mask wearing and minimal crowding. In the beginning of the season, I didn’t envision going to a Fall Fest on a weekend, but this worked out well!

The Stone’s Throw Outdoor pub at Shady Brook Faem
Jul 2020
The owners of this farm have found creative wa6s to keep the farm solvent. Aside from the great produce and gourmet groceries sold in the market, and the fabulous garden center, the6 have turned part of their outside into a very warm and inviting area for outdoor casual dining with beer, winr and cocjtails. Live entertainment Friday and Saturday evenings. Good social distancing for tables and masks required until seated for dining.

Good for seasonal activities but expensive.
May 2020
We have been to Shady Brook on many occasions and they offer local seasonal activities for kids, such as playgrounds, bounce equipment, hayrides, strawberry / apple picking in season. We went for strawberry picking this fall and booking was open for $5 per person with the time slot allocated to visit. It was a good way to control the overcrowding during the covid times. The produce was extra and not included in the entrance fee. I found it to be very expensive with $20 entry and $24 for 6 pounds of strawberries. The experience was okay.
