Woodward PA is an incredible facility. It is state-of-art for extreme sports. But don’t send a child there alone for camp. It’s fine if they are going with a group for cheerleading/gymnastics camp ect but otherwise there is absolutely no supervision of any kind. The...More

Lots of traumas. What kid of fun is that for such high price? Kids working on the kitchen, students (look like high school students) as a coaches, cheap workers, VIP price for campers. They do not care if your kid could be back home alive...More

My son has been there and loved every moment. As my husband and I drove in, we were surrounded by the most beautiful landscape. Upon our arrival, we were greeted warmly by the staff. Thank you Woodward Camp!

I have attended camp at woodward for three years and it is the thing i look forward to so much from the second I leave. Its such a wonderful experience with the best equipment anywhere to truely improve your skills. Okay, kids may steals things so its a good idea to bring a trunk with a lock. There are the best coaches and its not their fault if your child doesnt go to the instruction. And yes, the showers get dirty but clean up after yourself and ewar sheos in the shower, its not that big of...More

Camp Woodward to JFK airport (1 Replies)
Hello, we will be collecting our daughter around 9am from Camp Woodward - I imagine we will leave camp to hit the road around 11am. We need to check in at JFK around 4pm, so firstly does this leave us enough travelling time? Secondly which is the better route to take? I80E or I78E? I know I78E is more liege but it appears to have less congestion is this correct? Many thanks

Google maps puts this at 4 and a half hours for Route 80 and 4 hours and 56 minutes for route 78 but the truth is that traffic delays around New York city could easily add an hour or more-especially if you are doing this on a weekday- or on a Sunday afternoon when weekenders are returning to New York I would want more time on either route

Location: Woodward, Pennsylvania, United States, North America Title: Extreme Sport Camp - not such good experience for my son ID#: 8063582 My son recently attended Woodward Camp in Woodward PA. He was very disappointed in the way they let the campers get away with anything they wanted. The campers were disrespectful of other people's property. The children destroyed his belongings and when he told the cabin counselor about it, the counselor told him that if he addressed it then the kids...More

Ditto to everything you said. My 13 year old son went there last year and I saw the crowded, hot cabins and filthy!! bathrooms. No privacy or cleanliness. Staff extorts money from the campers for snack items they purchase locally and sell in the cabins. There is too much free time, too little structure. Dinner is served so early that the kids are starving again by 8 pm and must use their own money (if they have any...) to buy food. My son loved the facilities though and is going back.
