Our last stop of the day and we just made it before closing time. The park staff was very nice and grounds were in good shape. We made the walk to the top and were rewarded with great views of the surrounding countryside. TIP - There is an elevator for those who can't or don't feel like walking up the... More

Bowman's Hill tower restaurant was a very good idea to stop and eat while touring the Washington Crossing area in Bucks County. The menu choices were numerous and when served lived up to our exaptation's for taste. Service is very good except when it is very crowded (Weekends).

The tower provides beautiful views of the surrounding areas. Fee to get in is 6 dollars per person basically to see the view. We went in summer but I'm sure it's better in Autumn. If you get a combo ticket you can also go on a tour of the historic Thompson-Neely house in the same area. Worth a visit for... More

After climbing the steps to the top of the tower (over 125 - but an elevator can transport visitors part of the way), we were rewarded with fantastic 360 degree views of Bucks County! The spiral steps are wider near the bottom. The last section of steps of the climb are very narrow, so leave large bags or backpacks in... More

After eating at Bowman's Tavern (yum), we took a drive up to the tower. After getting out of the car, we saw that it cost $6 to go inside the tower. I was going to skip it, but my mom (who is scared of heights) insisted that we go. The spiral staircase reminded me of the old churches in Europe-... More

We were asked to pay $6 a piece to climb the tower for a view that should be free. You have climb the stairs since there are no elevators available. It is the highest point in the area. There were two people working collecting money, why I don't know. They definitely don't need 2 people to collect/administer tickets. They tried... More

Thanks for stopping by Bowman's Hill Tower! I just wanted to clarify a couple of things: much of the work at the park, including selling tickets and giving tours, is done by a group of volunteers. Also, it is free to walk through the colonial village area of the park. The $6 per location charge (or $11 for a combined... More

Bowman's Hill Tower has been open since 1930. The history of the area never changes but it is like experiencing something exciting and new each time I've come . My grandkids are at the age to understand our country's beginnings and this hands on experience correlates what they are learning in school about the American Revolution. We brought a 7... More

The views are great. You see everywhere George Washington marched in his great conquest. If it is open, it is a must do.

Great trip, beautiful views. They have an elevator if you do not want to do the steps. Employees gave a great history of the place at the ticket counter. Fun. Porta potty and picnic table too.

The charming shop, beautiful landscaping and sound of the birds and nature all around make this a must visit if you love nature and relaxing in Bucks County.
