Gorgeous lake with many opportunities to see eagles soaring. $5 boat launch fee. If you are going to the actual dam, take a loaf of bread and throw down to the many carp that hang out. Lots of hiking trails.

A friend has a cabin on the Allegheny very near Kinzua dam so my husband and I get a few opportunities a year to get to the area. This is the first year we've had our boat out on the lake though. The entire area is beautiful with a vast array of scenic choices for any outdoor enthusiast, there are... More

I had been wanting to visit the Kinzua Bridge and finally got the opportunity to do so. If you are in the area I think you should plan to stop by. It's a very serene place being as the bridge was partially destroyed by a tornado. My boyfriend and I are not too fond of heights but we made it... More

I've been here many times before and it always amazes me to see the Kinzua Dam and all the water it holds back. In the name of progress there was a town that was flooded out and no longer can be seen But in turn of the loss of the town there is much beauty in the surrounding area. Boaters,... More

Absolutely beautiful location with many well marked hiking trails and benches just steps from the parking lot if you don't want to walk very far. Very quiet, serene place, well worth the visit!

This quick stop provides a nice place to stretch your legs. Take a walk along the River or walk out onto the dam and look down on all the fish looking for a handout.

This place is beautiful in all seasons. We love watching the eagles fishing in the waters at the dam. Great for outdoor lovers.

We stayed at Dew Drop campground for 7 days. The camping was fun and the weather excellent. We boated almost every day on the lake and it was never crowded. We hiked area trails and saw some cool wildlife - especially a fawn swimming across a small bay. We caught some nice fish (including 4 Northerns). The smores around the... More

Nice for a quick stop and look see but not too much to take in. Beautiful scenery though. The sign was a highlight. Stop and get some ice cream on the way back into town.
