We'll today I watched the woman at the gate checking a family of 6 and she opened every single bag, dumped out purses, checked every single pocket, un-rolled every towel, yelled at the kids for standing to close, made one of the young girls do a spin to look her over really well. This situation took 15 minutes! But yet the guy checking bags next to us, breezed over the bags of the people in his line!!! So I wonder why that's happening. Also, we were there and in the water for about 10 to 15 minutes when they forced everyone out of the water because of the POSSIBILITY of a storm. Normally if ya hear a thunder clap they make you get out of the water. But it didn't rain, no thunder or lightning, not even wind. We sat there for an hour with no storm happening, before we decided to just leave. Luckily we have season passes so we can try again soon. But do not go if the weather report say 30 % or greater chance of rain or a storm or you could be sitting in the heat for long periods of time. It was a miserable visit!Dear Marya, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We apologize for the inconvenience and frustration you experienced during your recent visit. Our storm policies are in place to ensure the safety of all our guests, and we understand that it can be frustrating when these procedures cause unexpected delays. We appreciate your feedback on this and will look into ways to improve our communication and handling of such situations. We’re glad to hear you have season passes and look forward to providing you with a better experience on your next visit. If you have any further concerns or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out directly. Thank you for your understanding and patience. - TravelinFan201 contributionsPleasantly surprised!I am a self proclaimed water park hater, but a family trip brought me here and I was pleasantly surprised! The place was clean, the lifeguards were attentive, the rides and options are endless! I found there to be plenty of seating if you claim your seats early in the morning. We opted to stay near the kids section and it was nice. It’s a little out of the way from the rest of the park but it keeps it less crowded. The dinosaurs were a huge hit! I wish they allowed reusable water bottles to come in or had water available. It was hot and we were in the sun a long time. We could have used more cold water. The food lines were long and took a while so getting a quick drink wasn’t always easy. All that being said, I would definitely go back.Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're thrilled to hear that despite your initial reservations about water parks, you enjoyed your visit to Camelbeach! It's great to know that you found our facilities clean, the lifeguards attentive, and the variety of rides and options impressive. We're glad you enjoyed the seating near the kids' section and that the dinosaurs were a hit with your family. We appreciate your feedback regarding water availability and food lines. Your suggestions are valuable to us, and we'll look into ways to improve these aspects for our guests. We look forward to welcoming you back for another visit. - Mony1300Dickson City, Pennsylvania7 contributionsGood outdoor water slide action balanced w/ some loungingIt was a good outdoor waterpark experience ! We used the reviews on this site to help shape our day. We went on a 90 degree weekday. The $12 parking lot & shuttle worked out well. We chose to purchase two VIP lounge chairs with an umbrella. We arrived before the gates opened and stood in a long line. Most people waited in line and acted civil. However, we noticed some families helping other families cut ahead in the line. I'm sure they were trying to move ahead to get access to the free umbrella areas. Our VIP lounge chairs with an umbrella worked to our advantage because we avoided the nonsense & rat rack towards the free umbrellas . We were greeted by friendly staff and escorted to our area. It was a quiet shaded area which was worth the extra money for our small family of three. We were able to get food delivery in our area which was fair. Our server was friendly but he was overwhelmed by having to cover many areas. The service was not prompt but the chicken fingers order worked really well for us. We went on our prefered slides and our six year old called it "a fun place" We made some good memories as a family.Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed our outdoor waterpark and found the VIP lounge chairs to be a great option for your family. It’s wonderful to know that the shaded area provided a nice retreat and that you were able to make some great memories together. We appreciate your feedback on the line situation and the service. We’ll review these aspects with our team to ensure a smoother experience for all our guests. Your comments about the food service will also be shared to help improve our efficiency. Thank you again for your detailed review. We look forward to welcoming you and your family back for more fun in the future! - Travelling123441353Rockville, Maryland100 contributionsGreat outdoor water parkI would consider coming here again-absolutely! We went on a day that was not super warm in the middle of August- even though it was sunny the whole time and a high of about 75- be aware that the water was cold!! We took the shuttle from the camelback hotel- takes us right there- 5 minutes; there was no line to get in when we arrived around 1050am; they let you through early after you scan your tickets and then exactly at 11am they open the seating areas in the main part- people were running to get seats with umbrellas but honestly there is so much seating it was no big deal- u can sit in so many different parts in this huge park! Btw- they barely look in your bag; on the website they say no reusable water bottles- but everyone has those. They were not strict at all on what they let in; but I’m not sure if it was because it wasn’t busy? Food is very expensive and not really good- this is the area that they could really improve. The rides were great; everything was working and the workers were very friendly! huge variety for all ages. bring your water shoes! Definitely worth it! We also paid an extra $5 person to take the lift up to the top to take a break from the waterpark- beautiful views!Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful review! We’re delighted to hear that you had a great time and would consider visiting us again. It’s wonderful that you found our shuttle service convenient and appreciated the ample seating options in the park. We’re glad you enjoyed the rides and found our staff to be friendly and welcoming. We apologize for the cold water and the food not meeting your expectations. Your feedback is valuable, and we’ll definitely look into ways to improve the dining experience for our guests. The scenic chair lift ride on Black Bear 6 is one of our favorite rides too! We hope to welcome you back soon for another fun and memorable day. - Eric MBrooklyn, New York155 contributionsVariety is spelled with two humpsWhere does a hotel make money? On return customers. But when the client has done everything, who would go back? answer is no one. But, unlike competition, they gave my family three different things to do and more on top of that: we Water parked, we snow tubed and we arcaded. There were so many options that it’s a matter of time as to what people will Favor. My family doesn’t ski but they had that as well. We only stayed for three nights but that’s enough to make my family vacation goers for years to come.Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're thrilled to hear that you and your family enjoyed the variety of activities we offer, from water parks to snow tubing and arcade fun. - hmh717Woodridge, New York1,030 contributionsAquatopiaWe traveled 2 hours each way to spend the evening at Aquatopia for my birthday. We got the online price for $149, which was an excellent deal. It included entry for four people from 3p-8p, two pizzas, 4 drinks, free parking, 4 ice creams and a $20 arcade card. Check in was quick. We enjoyed the pizza, swim up adult only bar and hot tub. It was not over crowded and was overall a great value. The bathrooms were gross, even though we saw several people walking around cleaning, there were clumps of hair on the ground outside of the hot tub and not enough tubes for people on the rides. We had to wait every time for a tube ( and it was not busy). Several of the slides were closed. The lazy river is very nice and well staffed. The bartenders at the swim up bar were very busy but nice. 5 hours was plenty of time here. An overnight visit is not necessary. The hot tub is VERY relaxing and the perfect temperature. The arcade had a lot of games but the prices don’t seem very clear.Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback! We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the excellent value of our package, the quick check-in, and the amenities like the swim-up bar and hot tub. We’re also glad that you found the lazy river and arcade enjoyable. We apologize for the issues you encountered with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the availability of tubes. We appreciate your comments about the bartenders and the arcade pricing. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us enhance our services. I took my son 10 and my niece 14 to the park today, it was our first time ever going. I heard that the capacity was at 50% and that they were enforcing enhanced cleaning due to Covid. So with all that information we decide to give it a try.
To start off, people were temp checked and had to wear a mask upon entrance but that was the only safety measure we saw enforced. There was no social distancing any where in the park, ands at times it was overwhelming and.scary.
Due to the heavy rain we had last week( I had no idea about), half of the Waterpark was shut down which left people forced to pack in together to enjoy what was open. I paid for reserved seating, which was the only time we were able to distance ourselves from other guests. The park staff seemed understaffed and they were running out of items. We ordered food and drinks in our seating area, the waitress came back and said they ran out of bottled water and soda, fast forward 45 mins later we were given our food and drinks.
I was not impressed by this place, maybe before Covid things were good but at this point I would not recommend going.

We are sorry to hear of this experience and we appreciate your feedback on this matter. Please know that Camelbeach is operating at 50% capacity to abide by local and state government orders. Along with the capacity limit, we do require a physical distance of 6 feet or more between parties everywhere on our property. Some of our attractions required maintenance due to tropical storm impact before your visit which was very unfortunate given the timing of the season. Our team worked hard to get attractions back up and running as quickly as possible, however, the safety of our guests come first. In order to ensure safety, we limited attractions until they could be fully repaired. We did have this information listed on the website during this time to notify anyone who planned to visit the waterpark. We always encourage guests to visit the site before they arrive for the day. Again we are sorry for any inconvenience and hope you will visit us in the future.

Arrived at 4 couldn’t get into our room until almost 7 ,we were told to go eat we sat in buffet area and after about fifteen minutes the power went out no one told us anything no emergency lighting lit up we just sat there for 10 minutes in the dark , when we finally got into our room it was filthy see attached pictures the toilet didn’t work the room was in cleaned and we couldn’t get a manger on the phone . After waiting on line fir a half hour we spoke to a manager or someone who said they were management and he told us he would have room cleaned and toilet fixed and gave us 15% off our bill . The toilet was not fixed until almost midnight and the next day when the room was supposed to be cleaned I walked in in the cleaning lady sitting on a desk in our room on her phone needless to say room was never cleaned again .when we got home I spoke to someone on the phone and the assured me again that they would take care of us and would call us back within the hour but like everything elder on this place it was a lie no one returned our call I will never go here again to many nice water parks close by to be treated like this .

Went to Camelbeach outdoor water park on 7/4/2020. The staff was friendly and the few rides I went on were very fun. My kids had a good time while we were there, while I worried intensely and pondered leaving the park. I'm still worried I should have left the park. The camelbeach website went into great detail describing all the procedures implemented for safety during covid 19 prior to reopening including 50% capacity,, seating spaced in pods 6 feet apart, cleaning of chairs before another person can be seated etc.. see their website for full details of all the supposed procedures. What was experienced was a near complete disregard and disrespect for any social distancing by the clientele, no health check at entry, and none of the social distancing rules were enforced by the staff. I saw a person asked to wear a mask in line for food (only hint of enforcement all day) who objected verbally and then returned wearing a mask over his chin to his place in line to further display his opposition to wearing the mask that was required when in line for food. He was then served his food.. There was no spacing in lines.. just stickers on the ground that were completely ignored by the crowd , people right up.against you with no masks of course, rows upon rows of lounge chairs directly next to each other and crowds of people that had no interest or respect for social distancing whatsoever and no enforcement .. not even an announced message by the staff. If you DO NOT CARE AT ALL about social distancing then go and maybe have a good time, take your chances, your choice. If you are deciding to go because you are impressed with the safety procedure for social distancing that are published on the Camelbeach website, and are excited for a safer outing for you or your kids , then you will be horrified by the lack of public safety concern here

The facility itself is great. The water rides (when they are open) are exceptional. The cabana service is good and a must if you plan to be at this park all day. You have a cabana attendant who will take and deliver food and beverage orders with a smile. The park and restrooms are clean. Lockers are readily available. Food is not bad. But the great comments about this great facility stop there. Food is outrageously priced. If you're bringing a large family, bring a LARGE roll of cash or credit limit on your credit card. The rides are tended by lazy kids for the most part who have not the least care or concern about you as a guest. They have no cognizance of how their performance affects wait time, and further, do not care. Generally, the employees who are in the water ride receiving pools crawl at a painfully slow pace to retrieve a raft and at an even more painfully slow pace to deliver the raft to the lift in order to return it to the loading zone. Rides that clearly need 3 or 4 employees manning the ride (2 up top and 2 in the pool) have half the required amount of staff (1 employee up top loading 2 different rides and 1 employee in the pool below strolling to the rafts) which contributes to wait times approaching 2 hours. They offer fast passes for a price of about $30/person. While waiting in the regular line, we started counting how many times the same family, in the fast pass line, rode the ride we were waiting in line for. Four times for one ride and 7 or 8 for another. I love the fast pass at Disney, and I purchased it many times. I support the concept when it is administered fairly. But it is not - not at this park. Again, the staff is not the least bit cognizant of how their pace, apathy and overall lack of awareness impact the customer experience. Nor do they care. It's not that the lines are extraordinarily long. It's that the staff is extraordinarily lazy and management is extraordinarily absent or greedy or both. I

Although there were many signs up requesting that people maintain 6 feet of distance from each other, and marked spots on the slides where to stand, people
for the most part did not follow this. We had gotten to the park right at the 10am
opening, so we were able to avoid lines on the slides until about 11. The wave pool. however, was packed, and there was a line for the lazy river, which was also packed.
The lounge chairs had been arranged in groups of twos and threes and well spread out when we first got there, so we put our stuff down and proceeded to the slides. Within an hour, people had moved their chairs right next to ours on both the right and left sides of us. We got a lifeguard who was nearby who spoke to the people. The people on the right refused to move their chairs, but the people on the left did, so we were able to move ours too, to create more space. However, after going on more rides, those people who were to the left of us had left, new people had moved in there, and moved the chairs right next to ours again. At that point we gave up and left.
I would not recommend coming here during the pandemic. There is no enforcement of the COVID safety rules listed on the website or in the park, resulting in crowds of people without masks in the lounge areas, wave pool, kiddie pools, lazy river, and bathrooms, and not maintaining social distancing. I think for this to be a safe place to visit, there needs to be staff hired to enforce social distancing rules throughout the park.

Hello, thank you for your feedback, we have implemented a new code of conduct to ensure the safety of guests and our staff. Our waterparks are operating at 50% capacity to reduce the number of people inside the waterpark. Face coverings are required in all places with the only exceptions being when someone has an underlying health condition or if someone is in the water or eating. Guests are asked to stay 6 feet apart (physical distancing) from other parties at all times. Your feedback is important to us and we appreciate you taking the time to provide us with that. We look forward to you visiting us again in the future.

We decided to book a mini-getaway since we haven't really been anywhere since the pandemic began. We just needed a change of scenery. We thought this place sounded like they were taking proper Covid precautions, but I was very disappointed to see masks were no enforced. While we were waiting for our room to be ready, there was a rather large group of people hanging out in the lobby either not wearing masks at all, or wearing them improperly if they even had them on. They all looked they were there to celebrate someone's birthday. I kept waiting for someone who works there to say something, but nothing was ever said. It wasn't just this group either. I witnessed employees, including housekeeping staff, not wearing masks and not social distancing. It was very uncomfortable.
Not to mention, we were told our room would be ready at four, but it was not available until 5:11. We had to wait in the lobby and just witness all the mask wearing that was not happening. I got a sinking feeling in my stomach that we made a mistake coming to this resort.
So we'll be staying in our room for the majority of the trip. Some people were so brazen about not wearing masks, they didn't even care. They just walked down the hallway not wearing them as if they knew no one was going to say anything.
Never again.

Thank goodness we went at 10am so we got to enjoy rides before the park got overcrowded. We went Monday July 27 in hopes Monday would be way less busy compared to a weekend. We were wrong and by 2pm we left because of the health risks associated with staying. The rides are great and a big variety but as long as the resort does not control their numbers this place is not safe. Whatever amount of people are currently allowed in, must be cut by 1/2 to ensure proper social distancing. I urge the resort to have “line guards” who walk the lines and advise people to give the proper social distancing space and to remind people to keep distance. In the wave pool people were shoulder to shoulder and more than once my husband had to ask people to keep their distance. Will not be back until COVID is under control, sadly our visit was cut short for our own safety. Pictures I posted were of the morning when the crowds were controllable.

The park itself is a lot of fun. The staff very nice. The price gouging however is the reason I will never go back. Year’s ago you would pay $10 for the closest spots now? I payed $30 for the second closest area because I have leg issues. I don’t even know what they charge for the closest spot’s. Once inside you cannot take a cooler you have to walk back to your car if you brought A cooler. The food?? Is ridiculously priced. My family of 4 ordered 3 sets of chicken tender’s, 3 SOGGY fries one cheeseburger 2 Mac and cheese bowls 4 sodas. We paid $150. NEVER again. I will never step foot in this place again. How dare you charge $15 for Mac and cheese? Nope. Not my money ever again.

I would like to say that the water park was very beautiful and big. The location was nice as well. This being said I took my girlfriend to this park and While we were there the staffing was inconsiderate and rude to my girlfriend, a black African American female, the entire time. They refused all of my girlfriends food orders and other requests saying "Oh I'm sorry we are out" or that "they don't have time". However, when I, a white male, went up to order exactly what she had asked for they were more than happy to serve me what they had denied my girlfriend. The staff would then laugh while my girlfriend looked upset at them as if it were all a joke. The park staff treated my girlfriend horribly and we will not be returning. I do not recommend going here unless you enjoy blissfully living your life, to pompous to be bothered by the fact that other people are being treated as less then right in front of you.

Beware!! Would give zero stars if possible. Camelback is not practicing reduced occupancy. I arrived today after having purchased my $106 lift ticket they charged me an additional $50 to park my car. I was told that the $30 lot was full and there was minimal $10 parking left up at the resort. After paying $50 to park my car I found that lot was also full to capacity. I was told to take a handicap spot. How could they be at reduced occupancy and still have all of their parking lots sold out. I made my way through the crowds of which most were not wearing masks or social distancing. Waited online for over half an hour for a two minute run. I was paired with another solo skier on the lift that I did not know. He was not wearing a mask. Did two runs in two hours time. The eateries were all overflowing with people. I tried to make my way to the larger lifts but those lines were twice as long as the one I had been on. I only wish I had taken photos. This is a super spreader for sure. I paid a total of $156 for exposure to covid and two runs! This is a disgrace!

Hello TJ, we are disappointed to hear about your experience. Our parking policy is $10 for regular parking and $30-$40 for premium parking. We are truly sorry to hear that our safety protocols were not enforced to our standards. Face-coverings are required on our property and lift operators are instructed to not allow guests to ride any lift with guests of a different traveling party. We will immediately address this with our team. We take our safety protocols very seriously and we appreciate your feedback. Again, we apologize for this experience and we hope this is not the last time we see you on the Mountain.

Is this a good indoor water park for a 3 year old toddler?

I know you can’t bring your own food but a friend said you use to be able to reserve a table right outside the gate where you can leave your cooler etc.. is this still an option

You can only bring in one 20 ounce water per person and you can rent cabanas but they are expensive that’s the only reserved seating or storage space.

What is actually included in the "Party Cabana" making it $100 more then a regular cabana? It just says extra-special features. Does anyone know what the special features are?

Are the arranged seats always in groups of 4, so if we reserve 3 there will be a 4th that is vacant or might a stranger get the 4th chair? Or do they only group them in as many as you reserve? Thanks in advance for any answers!

While I'm not sure, I recommend you message them using Facebook, they respond quickly on that platform.

What are the rest/seating areas like, outside of renting a cabana? We love the idea of a spot that’s just for us, but they seem way overpriced! Anyone have any tips or recommendations on this topic?

We did the reserved seating by the wave pool. It was 25 a person and there was a waitstaff to take food and drink orders. I would recommend, we were able to social distance there. Chairs came with covers and a towel to use for the day.

I will be at Canelback next week. I’m wondering if renting a cabana at camel beach is worth it?
Written July 8, 2020
This depends on group size and if you want to ride a lot. If you are a large(r) party a cabana works well and/or if you don't want to ride many slides. If you want to ride a bunch of slides, most chance you don't want to be stuck in a cabana. *Note* unless you pre-purchased tickets I encourage you to read my review, camelbeach did a HORRIBLE job with COVID. It's up to you but I wouldnt recommend it, Hersheypark has a smaller water park yet the park is much better overall.

Can you go to Camelbeach if you don't stay at the lodge?

We would like to bring our grandkids ages 7, 10, 11 and 13. Would one night stay at your facility be enough time for your water parks? What time can we start using the park before checking into a room?
Written June 20, 2019
You only need one day to experience the water park. You’ll need to call camelback about the other question.
