Not bad
Mar 2021 • Family
My son loves water so he had fun. Some of the swings were closed due to covid which is understandable. It is a good size, smaller than kalahari but still nice. Also cheaper than kalahari. Very clean. They had food and drinks on site. We will definitely be back. If you love coming to camelback get season passes they are worth it they include ski and waterpark. We had a great time.

No mask enforcement
Mar 2021 • Family
We decided to book a mini-getaway since we haven't really been anywhere since the pandemic began. We just needed a change of scenery. We thought this place sounded like they were taking proper Covid precautions, but I was very disappointed to see masks were no enforced. While we were waiting for our room to be ready, there was a rather large group of people hanging out in the lobby either not wearing masks at all, or wearing them improperly if they even had them on. They all looked they were there to celebrate someone's birthday. I kept waiting for someone who works there to say something, but nothing was ever said. It wasn't just this group either. I witnessed employees, including housekeeping staff, not wearing masks and not social distancing. It was very uncomfortable.

Not to mention, we were told our room would be ready at four, but it was not available until 5:11. We had to wait in the lobby and just witness all the mask wearing that was not happening. I got a sinking feeling in my stomach that we made a mistake coming to this resort.

So we'll be staying in our room for the majority of the trip. Some people were so brazen about not wearing masks, they didn't even care. They just walked down the hallway not wearing them as if they knew no one was going to say anything.

Never again.

Buyer Beware!!! Not following covid guidelines.
Feb 2021 • Solo
Beware!! Would give zero stars if possible. Camelback is not practicing reduced occupancy. I arrived today after having purchased my $106 lift ticket they charged me an additional $50 to park my car. I was told that the $30 lot was full and there was minimal $10 parking left up at the resort. After paying $50 to park my car I found that lot was also full to capacity. I was told to take a handicap spot. How could they be at reduced occupancy and still have all of their parking lots sold out. I made my way through the crowds of which most were not wearing masks or social distancing. Waited online for over half an hour for a two minute run. I was paired with another solo skier on the lift that I did not know. He was not wearing a mask. Did two runs in two hours time. The eateries were all overflowing with people. I tried to make my way to the larger lifts but those lines were twice as long as the one I had been on. I only wish I had taken photos. This is a super spreader for sure. I paid a total of $156 for exposure to covid and two runs! This is a disgrace!

Hello TJ, we are disappointed to hear about your experience. Our parking policy is $10 for regular parking and $30-$40 for premium parking. We are truly sorry to hear that our safety protocols were not enforced to our standards. Face-coverings are required on our property and lift operators are instructed to not allow guests to ride any lift with guests of a different traveling party. We will immediately address this with our team. We take our safety protocols very seriously and we appreciate your feedback. Again, we apologize for this experience and we hope this is not the last time we see you on the Mountain.

Small Waterpark
Feb 2021 • Family
This is a small water park, but it does have a wave pool, like 5 slides, a kids play area, very small lazy river and that's it. There are very few private cabanas and a VIP area. There is a bar in the front of water park and a food to go area as well. Graffiti pizza right out front and sugar shack with soft serve. Its to the point, no frills or thrills.

My family was there August 1. No social distancing at all. Pictures clearly show this. Kids had fun. But at what risk!

Hello, thank you for reaching out, we have implemented a code of conduct to ensure the safety of guests and our staff. Our waterparks are operating at 50% capacity to reduce the number of people inside the waterpark. Face coverings are required in all places with the only exceptions being when someone has an underlying health condition or if someone is in the water or eating. Guests are asked to stay 6 feet apart (physical distancing) from other parties at all times. Your feedback is important to us and we appreciate you taking the time to provide us with that. We would like the opportunity to discuss your experience further as we strive to provide the best experience for our guests. Camelbeach 2020
Aug 2020
We have been bringing our four children here for several years and have attended a least a dozen times. We like the park because the staff is friendly and helpful and the park is clean and safe. There is a wide variety of activities for children of various ages and the ski lift is a nice way to enjoy the view of the mountain. We visited the park for the first time this season in the beginning of August and our experience did not match the last several years. Although I realize that this season is difficult for a business, there are many issues that need to be addressed by them.

We rented a cabana by the olympic pool (like we always do). I was disappointed on several levels. First, the cost of the cabana was over double the cost in the past. We have purchased a cabana each and every time we visited and many times last minute and the price was never above $180 regardless when we purchased it. This time it was $400. When we signed in, the paper showed what the other families that had purchased the cabanas paid and many of them paid $180 and some $300 - for the same cabanas. When I questioned them, I was told that they have a roving fee that now increases the closer to the date (right now the same cabana can be $600). It was never this way in the past.

I was told that the park was 50% capacity. The park became insanely busy at 1pm. The olympic pool had the same number of lounge chairs as in years past and each was occupied. The pool was filled to capacity - with only two lifeguards. There were many men in the pool just wearing street clothes and their wet mask around their neck. Many people had no idea how to swim and were coughing and spitting the water they inhaled. There was a complete lack of control from the staff and no monitoring at all.

Half of the ladies bathroom was closed the entire day and were not cleaned as the day progressed. That left four bathroom stalls for the majority of the park with the dressing area. Luckily a staff member showed me another private bathroom near the bar.

I don't think we will return again this season and that is very disappointing. The varying cost of the cabana is not appropriate. I feel like the business is trying to take advantage of people willing to pay for the cabana to make up on the decrease in sales and this is not acceptable. Social distancing, mask wearing in public spaces and 50% capacity at each individual ride/pool needs to be enforced regularly. Hopefully, the park can figure out how to improve the customer experience so that it can be done in a manner that is safe for everyone, enjoyable for families and cost appropriate.

Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate this. We are sorry to hear about this experience. Cabana prices vary depending on the day and the location of the cabana inside the park. We continue to update these protocols and assure all of these areas have been addressed. The code of conduct on our property that requires Camelbeach to operate at 50% capacity and requires physical distancing for all parties, we have staff throughout the resort reinforcing this. Your feedback is important to us and we appreciate you taking the time to provide us with that. We would like the opportunity to discuss your stay further as we strive to provide the best experience for our guests. Please send us a copy of your review to feedback@camelbackresort.com

We go to camel beach every year and love it except this year!!! There was absolutely no social distancing!! People were walking around not wearing a mask and they said they limited how many tickets they sell. It was more crowded yesterday and has been in all the years That we have gone!!! The wave pool people were on top of each other! Paid over $300 for 10 people to go!! We were very disappointed!

Thank you for your feedback and thank you for visiting us every year! Please know that we have a code of conduct on our property that requires face coverings in all public areas and enforces physical distancing for all parties, this includes waiting in line, traveling around the park, and in lounging areas. Camelbeach is operating at 50% capacity to abide by local and state government orders. We are sorry to hear you were disappointed in your experience, but we hope you plan to visit us next year to continue the tradition!

Disappointed
Aug 2020 • Family
I took my son 10 and my niece 14 to the park today, it was our first time ever going. I heard that the capacity was at 50% and that they were enforcing enhanced cleaning due to Covid. So with all that information we decide to give it a try.
To start off, people were temp checked and had to wear a mask upon entrance but that was the only safety measure we saw enforced. There was no social distancing any where in the park, ands at times it was overwhelming and.scary.

Due to the heavy rain we had last week( I had no idea about), half of the Waterpark was shut down which left people forced to pack in together to enjoy what was open. I paid for reserved seating, which was the only time we were able to distance ourselves from other guests. The park staff seemed understaffed and they were running out of items. We ordered food and drinks in our seating area, the waitress came back and said they ran out of bottled water and soda, fast forward 45 mins later we were given our food and drinks.
I was not impressed by this place, maybe before Covid things were good but at this point I would not recommend going.

We are sorry to hear of this experience and we appreciate your feedback on this matter. Please know that Camelbeach is operating at 50% capacity to abide by local and state government orders. Along with the capacity limit, we do require a physical distance of 6 feet or more between parties everywhere on our property. Some of our attractions required maintenance due to tropical storm impact before your visit which was very unfortunate given the timing of the season. Our team worked hard to get attractions back up and running as quickly as possible, however, the safety of our guests come first. In order to ensure safety, we limited attractions until they could be fully repaired. We did have this information listed on the website during this time to notify anyone who planned to visit the waterpark. We always encourage guests to visit the site before they arrive for the day. Again we are sorry for any inconvenience and hope you will visit us in the future.
