Well, if you really want to feel that eerie, scary feeling, you can see it from the outside. The house itself welcomes you with lots of eerie characters placed outside, ghosts, skeletons, other stuffs. But once you enter the house, it is just a candle shoppe, with lots and lots of scented and unscented candles inside. You cannot help it but buy because the displays are well arranged, you can feel free going around, even on the second level, so you can really choose what you want. During the time we were there, they already displayed even Christmas decors. It was a nice place and we took the liberty of taking pictures inside and outside.

While staying the Inn at Pocono Manor, this little quaint shoppe piqued our curiosity and when we walked in loved all the amazing candles and little household items! We came out of there buying some candles and use them daily! Definitely a place to shop!

The place and merchandise looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. The scariest part for me was the fear of not finding the exit. If you like over-priced flea markets, you'll love it.

I had seen Animal Planet's broadcast of this site twice, so as we were staying somewhat in the vicinity on vacation, I thought it would be a nice distraction to check out the shop after finding a brochure for it at our rental site. I was looking forward to taking the tour, even though I could somewhat tell by the brochure that it was going to look more like a canned haunted house tour than a real taste of the supernatural. However, what kept us from the tour was the entry fee. It seemed way overpriced for what I surmised we might get, so we were left with having driven 40 minutes just to candle shop. Now, that being said, the store has a ton of choices, and the employees are very friendly and helpful...so I did purchase a few candles. I was disappointed that we did not get a chance to check out the basement, which we might have done for half the price.

The candle shop was nice and they had a great variety of candles for all seasons and holidays. There are other things in the shop such as soaps, scarves, jewelry, pillows, handbags, etc. We enjoyed walking through the shop but were extremely disappointed in the ghost tour in the basement of the house. We spent a lot of money on the tickets and it was not worth it. We had 4 adults in our party at $13 per ticket, and 2 children at (I believe) $9 per ticket. The kids were 8 and 5 years old and when they approached the entrance and heard the scary noises, they decided they did not want to go in. We were denied a refund which I think is very bad for business, as we will never return there to purchase anything from the store based on that experience. The "ghost" tour turned out to more like a history lesson of the owners of the house, the owner being a doctor and performing research on monkeys to find a cure for yellow fever. We were told the tour would last 20-25 minutes. I was more like 10. It was a complete waste of money and we will not be returning. There are plenty of candle stores in the poconos so we will spend our money elsewhere.

The Candle Shoppe has a great selection of candles, various gift and holiday items. The house was built in the 1800s and is said to be haunted.

While this is a lovely candle shoppe, the hunted tour was not worth the admission of $15 for adults and $13 for kids. Not eery, not realistic, not big enough to get a real tour. I cannot imagine people wanting to return for this tour. the folks are nice, very pleasant, the outside of the house is really eery and spooky looking, but that tour one must not take unless that price goes down.
