Love everything about Spyglass Ridge Winery!

We Absolutely Lovvve Spyglass Ridge Winery! We have done the wine tasting a couple times, and have tried their craft beers too... which resulted in finding new favorites.
We've attended several of their "Backyard Concerts," which we Absolutely Lovvve (Along with the Mango Slushies Yum!) and now plan our other activities around the summer concerts... Their stage is large, seating area "in the backyard" is comfortable and fun, the sound is great as well as the light shows!
They have big names as well as tribute bands, I have to say they've all been beyond great!
The owner Tom and family as well as all the staff have been great in every way each and every time we've visited!
They get a 10+ from me! 👍

Beware
Jan 2021 • Solo
This business is not trustworthy and the owner is irresponsible and crooked. I followed instructions provided on their website for a refund of pre-purchased wine and two tickets to a postponed concert. I mailed the wine receipt and tickets back. After no refund, I made numerous phone calls and was assured that a refund would be made. There was no response to a follow-up email. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. That inquiry was ignored. I filed a complaint with the Pennsylvania Attorney General. Upon their inquiry, SRW requested credit card numbers to check on refund authorizations or provide a refund. That was SRW’s only correspondence and subsequently the Pennsylvania Attorney General too was ignored. I contacted their ticket handler, Brown Paper and they indicated that SRW does not respond to their inquiries. So, I was forced to file a civil complaint with the district magistrate. The defendant, SRW owner Tom Webb, Jr., did not enter a defense and did not show for the hearing. The default judgment is now double of what he originally owed due to court fees and legal consultation. After the appeal period I will continue my legal path until payment is made. I’m not the only one; similar complaints are on their Facebook page and BBB. Just remember these costly mistakes may be passed on to the customers IMO. I am not an attorney and nothing in this review should be taken as legal advice.

This winery is fantastic!
Sep 2020 • Couples
We stayed at this Harbor Host venue twice now, and the hospitality of the owners is incredible. The wines are top notch. And the atmosphere is just as intoxicating. The owners treated us like life long friends from the first time we met them, and that's what we have become. Go out of your way to visit this HH, you will be very glad you did.

Wine tasting
Oct 2019 • Couples
We had six of us visit the winery. We did a wine tasting but the wines were not for us. Very nice building and looked like a nice setting for a wedding or reception. They are building a microbrewery on top of the hill. It looks like a very large and very nice building. We will have to check out the microbrewery next time we are in the area.

Amazing outdoor concert venue where wine and beer really flow!

Spyglass Ridge Winery is situated in a bucolic farm area that makes a perfect ampitheater. Most of the bands featured here (think Kansas, Blue Oyster Cult, Foreigner, Styx, to name a few) have been thrilled to play in such a gorgeous setting, remarking over and over about it throughout their show. I bring a comfy chair and a bit of cheese, but I also end up buying the delicious food from their vendors. I put down one date, but I rarely miss a concert there since they started doing them a few years ago.

Over the years, they have gone from having an annual Celtic Fest to having about a band a month during the warm months. Rumor has it the Celtic Fest is coming back, but either way, this is a very relaxing way to see some of the bands you want to see before they stop performing.

They have an assortment of food vendors and I highly recommend the crabcake sandwich and the roasted veggies over salad. There are all sorts of wines from dry to sweet including some fruit wines. Soon their Three Beards Brewery will be open, but for now they have gotten the PLCB's blessing to sell their beers at the concerts. They vary according to season, but you're sure to find something that you like.

Sidenote: March Madness features bands each weekend in March and they always have free munchies included in the admission. Bands tend to be more on the bluesy side, but not always. They have this in their beautiful barn. You have to walk up to the back of it to get in, but you'll find the entrance.

Nice location, pathetic, confusing and wrong information from gate people.Don't waste your money on VIP tickets.
Aug 2018 • Friends
Parked in VIP area, people at parking gate looked at our tickets like they were from Mars. I told them I came to the winery the week before and paid 5 bucks a piece for them. They didn't want to let us in because the price wasn't on the ticket, not my responsibility. So, they finally gave us our wristbands. We did some tailgating, then figured I better find out about our seats, had a bad feeling, seemed to be a lot of confusion. (Glad we got there early.) Which figured when someone told me the gate people were volunteers. Went to the closest gate. They had no idea what was going on with the VIP tickets ($302). The woman kept telling me that there were no VIP seats and that I should go get my chairs and stand in line. I asked if there was someone that they could call to help me out. Two guys in orange security t-shirts with walkie talkies made a call. Then they ignored us. We walked to the main gate, which is a quarter mile or so down the road. The gate people knew a little more but still had wrong information. They said we had to walk back up the hill to get whatever we needed because we couldn't go back to the VIP parking lot after we were in....WRONG, I simply told my friends they were full of it and not to worry, and that we could get back out to the lot, I was right. After a confusing entrance, and 3 or 4 gate people giving us incorrect, or confusing info we made our way to the VIP tent, no signage that you could see from any distance. They even asked if we were with the band, because we were on the VIP ticket list....Not sure any of the volunteers have ever been to another concert other than the free ones they get for volunteering. The VIP section was like a cattle chute.
The seats were nice folding chairs, but the funny thing was that I was in the 3rd row of VIP (you picked whatever seats were open) and I had 2 different friends standing right behind me just on the other side of our corral, good for them, they only paid 70 bucks.
Moral to the story is buy the cheapest tickets, the VIP's aren't worth it. Our special occasion, there were 7 of us, would have been much better up on the hillside. I think this winery is well run, and they've done a good job providing entertainment in an area lacking it, but they should consider having at least one or two PAID, and knowledgeable about the show, attendants at every entry point, including the VIP parking lot. When you pay a lot of money for a ticket you at least expect to have a smooth, stress free experience. This was anything but that. We had a good time regardless of the many hassles getting in, but if you go, and ask one of their gate people about something don't count on it being correct. VIP here stands for Very Irksome, & Problematic. Oh, one more thing. I assumed that they would have a closer portable john for the VIP section when I bought the tickets (yes, we're a little older), but no, you had to fight your way back to the top of the hill for that luxury.
I've been here once before and I'll go back, at least now I know what to expect.
And I'll never spend the extra money for an experience that wasn't.

Great venue for a concert
Aug 2018 • Couples
We went to the George Thorogood concert. It rained earlier in the day but the winery went out of their way to clean up and minimize the mud.

You have to bring your own chairs. They allow food and sealed water bottles. Beer and wine tent. Wine is sold by the bottle. Wine slushees and food vendors also available too. The Moby Dick and Philly cheese steak grilled cheeses from the Grill Cheese Cafe were awesome! Suggest checking their website for what is allowed and what to bring it was very helpful.

We really enjoyed the concert, the staff was great. Definitely plan to go back again!
