P.S.U was one of the happiest days of my life. It is out in the open near mountains. Wish I would have had time to go on nature walks. However, I spent some days walking 3 hours to classes. The classes in the freshman and second level classes were way too crowded. Glad to have gone to PSU Lehigh Valley in Fogelsville where I started a choir for credit and it was extremely personal. What a financial bargain that is and that is how I would recommend you start or community college till you get used to it. The smaller classes in the upper level were fantastic. i took a course on flowers and we identified them by microscope. I never remember having so much fun learning.

If you visit just one thing at Penn State, make it the Nittany Lion! The Nittany Lion Inn is beautiful also, but currently being utilized to house students.

Not a huge place but lots of different plants and flowers to see. It's within walking distance of the PSU Creamery and fun to double-up. The Halloween pumpkin fest and summer concerts are also a lot of fun.

As an alumnus, as well as having a daughter currently attending Penn State, I can honestly say that it is a wonderful place to attend college, and opens doors to bright futures. The campus is safe and has many opportunities for sports, arts and cultural activities.
