About
Our Lion Chariot pedicabs offer an enjoyable way to see Happy Valley. We typically start our tours at The Penn State Arboretum, followed by a glide through campus - with views of The Lion Shrine, Beaver stadium, Creamery, Old Main and much more ! Sit back, relax and allow our drivers to share some Blue & White pride with you. Our tours are appropriate for all ages and are especially nice for those prone to tired legs. We do not have a physical storefront, but we encourage you to call or email us to make a reservation for your personalized Penn State campus tour!

Myself and my wife are both alumni, we took what is tour with our 4 young children and were extremely happy, all expectations were completely exceeded. First, Todd is an excellent tour guide and frankly showed us places that, despite being at State College for eight years between the both of us, have never seen before. He also has a vast knowledge and story of every building, road, statue… that we encountered. He was an amazing guide (and just genuinely a really great person).

I’ll be honest, having been a student for four years that’s because I didn’t expect to see many things that I haven’t seen before. I couldn’t have been more wrong - Being an alumni is even more reason to take this tour. It’s a totally different perspective of the campus we all know. Additionally tours are catered to what you do or do not want to see, we spent a fair amount of time with the kids at the pond and let the kids run around.

This will definitely be something we do again and a GREAT way to cover a lot of ground and see a lot in a short amount of time.

We had a wonderful tour of the PSU campus with Todd. He was on time, courteous and really knowledgeable about the school and campus. He made sure we were able to hear him as he pedaled around the entire area. We were there to visit a student and she was very impressed by what we learned. Riding in the "chariot" was a great way to see everything easily. He even gave us a bunch of suggestions to do after we left him. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to see Penn State.

This is one of the most fun activities you can do in State College. The price is reasonable and you can get to so many more places in town on the bikes rather than walking. You can tour campus and you can town in a very short amount of time. You can also get to places that you can get to a car. I highly recommend it for people with mobility problems, people with kids, or elderly parents who want to see the campus. it is an amazing experience

My parents and I had a fun time and great campus tour with Todd. My elderly parents are both alumni and wanted to see their paving bricks outside the alumni center. Todd picked us up there and we went on a nostalgic tour of the campus including a visit to the sports museum at the stadium and stop at the Creamery for ice cream. Todd was very attentive to my parents and just made our visit fantastic! We would highly recommend Todd and Vamos! Lion Chariot to anyone visiting State College.

This is the second time I took out of town friends on this tour of campus. It didn't disappoint. Each tour was a little different. Todd gets to know you and then takes you to see what would be interesting to your group. My one friend was a Vietnam veteran, so he took us to the Veterans Memorial. He also took our photos by the Nittany Lion, Palmer Museum and the We Are Sculpture. We ended our perfect tour with ice cream at the Creamery. The tour was so great we invited Todd to join us.

The professional and timely response from Todd from booking to pickup masks a charming, congenial host! Lion chariot is great value for money if you want a guided tour of the sprawling campus. Todd is an alumni and spares no efforts to make you feel at home. I would put the vamps lion chariot ride as a must do experience for all parents!

Our tour was fabulous! We booked two hours to have a custom tour around campus and downtown, and loved every minute of it. Todd knows his facts very well - I learned a few new things (and I’m an alumnus!). Plus he was entertaining - my teenage daughters were even entertained, which isn’t easy! Vamos Lion Chariot is definitively an asset to the State College area. Will definitely do it again, it’s well worth the $ and the time.

We absolutely Loved our ride with Vamos Lion Chariot!! There were 5 of us on a girlfriends weekend up at State College last Saturday! My son is a senior at Penn State💙🤍. It was a beautiful Sunny November day. Two chariots picked us up at our hotel, we were staying at the Graduate. Todd and Jill (both PSU grads) took us all over campus and provided lots of history, information and fun commentary. Both were so accommodating! Lots of laughs and picture taking the entire ride. It worked out perfectly and we all said we would definitely do it again and recommend it to others. Thank you Todd and Jill for making our day😊

Our son didn’t have the benefit to tour Penn State’s campus because of Covid. We decided to book a pedicab to get a feel before we moved him in. IT WAS THE BEST DECISION WE MADE! Todd was incredibly knowledgeable about the campus and it’s rich history! He made several stops to allow photo ops and opportunities to ask questions along the way. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and recommend it to new students and their families!

My wife and I had an excellent adventure with Vamos and Todd driving us around on the chariot/bike. Did a leisurely overview of the entire PennState campus. It was a relaxing and fun way to really see this place we've walked many times -but learn about all the changes since my wife attended 35 years ago. Todd is a friendly, professional, and knowledgable guide. Try it !
