Souderton Retail Store is now open again except on weekends but at present time you cannot take a factory tour. The chocolates are amazing and we do enjoy the sweet indulgence. You have to wear a mask in the store. It will be interesting to take the factory tour again.

As indicated by other posters this is NOT a discounted candy outlet. As a matter of fact one can by Ashers candies at retail stores often for considerably less than what one would pay here at the factory store. If one is looking for good prices the broken packaged items ie. chocolate pretzels is the best buy. It is a clean store with many candy items from which to select. That said there are very few items at Ashers that I consider worth the over-the-top prices at this store. If you do not watch what you buy I guarantee you will be shocked when checking out! We had visited on occasion but it is now off our list. So set your expectations correctly and perhaps you won't mind spending the bucks for a little sweetness.

I wasn't impressed with the quality of chocolate, the service was nothing short of terrible and upon some research I discovered the owner is a convicted felon - I do not recommend spending money here - and I certainly wouldn't bring children here.

I’ve been here a few times and never disappointed for sure. Their “hurt” pretzels are a favorite in my family. The ladies in the shop are sweet as sugar and are always helpful. Best times to go are the upcoming Holidays as the shop is very festive and different types of candy are displayed.

Asher's is just a ffew miles form my house, and a great place to pick up some last minute chocolate for an occasion. However, for example, the boxed assortment of chocolate covered pretzels is close to 16 dollars innthe store, and 9 dollars at Shoprite. Same exact.item. For a company owned store, they shouldnt be prive gouging on their items. I pickup my Ashers at the grocery store now and save money.

We practically live right around the corner from this store and factory, so it has been a favorite stop to take the kids for a treat since they were little. It is a nice little clean store that hits you with that heavenly smell of chocolate as soon as you enter. There’s a little playhouse where my kids would sit and read a book when they were little while I would shop.
Now, as other people have said, the full priced candy is pricey and you can often find the same Asher’s assortments at other stores at a lower price. The “hurt” bags of candies are a good deal and just as tasty. You can also find deep discounts on candy after a holiday. In many years of going there I’ve always found the employees to be friendly and helpful. If there’s candy being made when my kids go the the tour window I usually see the factor workers give them a wave and a warm friendly smile.

Nice little store but prices are too high and product is ordinary and repetitive.
The atmosphere is not exciting or unique and the items are overpriced.
Clean store but with only a few few cute items and the candy is typical and overpriced for what it is.

I didn't enjoy my interaction with the two women who rang up my purchases in the candy store. Their condescending curtness was decidedly less than "sweet".

Let me state right from the start that the several varieties of chocolate that I ordered were delicious, packaged well, and arrived on time. I would have rated Asher's Chocolates higher if not for the hydrogenated oils used in most of what I ordered. There may only be a small amount in them but those type of oil's are not healthy for your heart. They are used to extend the self life of a product but over one's lifetime can help to clog one's arteries. So,again, the chocolate's were very good but I will not purchase again because of the hydrogenated oil's used.
