The "zoo" isn't too much, the gift shop is a bit above okay and the general store is above average. But, when you are in a cabin in the woods for a week, this is a must-do if you have kids. It's fun to "get away from getting away" when staying at Clear Creek State Park.

Not only was the food great but the staff was very helpful, We needed a gallon of milk to take back to our cabin, for breakfast the next morning, our waitress made sure the shop on site had a gallon waiting for us when we were done eating - the salad bar was well stocked the meals were huge (... We go here every time we are in the area. It's great for the whole family. They have goats, horses donkeys kids can feed for a quarter. They have a mini driving range. Their restaurant has buffet style dining or you can order off the menu. Kids menus are available. They have an ice cream shop nearby and a gift... More

I found this on the internet and wanted to visit. We ate lunch and the chicken was some of the best ever. After walking the zoo, we came back for a peach dumpling that was wonderful. This would be great to treat the grand kids to a visit.

The kids loved the animals, the food was good, and the play area was very nice! The only thing that keeps this place from getting a perfect score was a very small, very dirty and only bathroom for the whole property! Even Porta Johns would be a plus!

we went to this private zoo attached to the restaurant expecting chickens and raccoons but it had big cats, monkeys to black bears that you could be really close to and many other surprises. Very cool and well worth the time!
