About
Our main Deer Creek Winery in Shippenville, PA sits proudly among the premier wineries in PA, but for more than the obvious reasons. We go beyond expectations to please our wine connoisseurs, romantic getaway seekers, travel enthusiasts, and culture collectors. The Deer Creek Winery property has been in our family for 5 generations, tucked away in the picturesque Western Pennsylvania countryside. This land produces the finest raspberries, so we opened the winery in 2009 specializing in raspberry wines. We now have some 2-dozen other wines spanning all vinotypes. And we can’t forget the Deer Creek Olive Grove, from which we’ve personally bottled more than 40 flavors of gourmet olive oils and aged balsamic vinegars. You can relax in rustic elegance at The Inn at Deer Creek Winery in one of our 8 seasonally and culturally themed guestrooms. Feel like getting back to nature? There’s a room for that. How about a European feel? There are several more for that, with many also featuring a fireplace and in-room Jacuzzi. Wake up refreshed to a cooked-to-order breakfast. We also offer venue rentals to host weddings, banquets, parties, business conferences, and more. Whether you need a large conference room, outdoor seating, or ample space for a reception, we’re here to serve 7 days a week. Among our numerous scheduled events, each weekend we also host live musical performances by dozens of talented artists. We have a lite cafe and offer beer from a local brewery. No outside food or drink allowed. Visit our main winery or one of our other 4 outlet locations at Hermitage Kohl’s Plaza, The Mall at Robinson, Butler Clearview Mall, and McCandless Crossing. Order online; we can now ship wine to 22 states! We built a winery. We built an inn. We built events venues. We built retail outlets. And they’re all for you.

Stayed two nights was very nice room with hot tub. The second night we were in hot tub when water splashed from the jets and set off an alarm. It was 11 o'clock and the noise was a high pitched squeal. We were forced to leave the hot tub and the room because we couldn't stand it went down stairs and no one was there. We called the emergency number that we were given. After leaving 3 messages they finally answered on the 4th call. They came and turned it off after about 40 minutes. I ask at the desk the next morning what they could do about ruining our night that cost us $250 a night. They offered a bottle of wine, after a bit of arguing they said the most they could do is 30 dollars. What a joke, I would steer clear of this place.

The Inn at Deer Creek Winery consistently strives to exceed our guest's expectations by providing a high quality Bed and Breakfast experience that will allow them to enjoy their time away from home in a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Unfortunately, in this instance, it does not appear that we met our goal! On behalf of the management and staff of Deer Creek Winery, we apologize for any distress you may have experienced during your stay. We have reviewed our processes with respect to our second floor water alarms and our after-hours response. Going forward, we are taking proactive steps to mitigate any future discomfort that our guests may experience by the sound of the alarms. Additionally, the inn manager has been instructed to assure a more timely reaction from our after-hours team members when future issues arise. We appreciate your constructive feedback. It will help to make our Inn a better place for our guests. Most of all, We appreciate you choosing The Inn at Deer Creek Winery for your weekend stay. Going forward, we hope that you will give us another opportunity to better serve your needs.

Stayed here two nights while spending a ski weekend at Seven Springs. Overall, we had a nice cozy winter stay.

We arrived much later than expected due to getting caught in a snowstorm on our way in. The staff were very accommodating for our late arrival.

The room: My only disappointment was that we paid more for one of the fireplace rooms and the fireplace did not work (Room 11). I mentioned this to the staff at breakfast the first morning. They never said anything to us during the remainder of our stay. It would've been nice if they could have moved us to another room since the lodge was well below capacity. The rest of the room was very nice: quiet, warm, comfortable and spacious king bed, nice jacuzzi, ample hot water.

Food and wine: We had breakfast twice and dinner once. For breakfast, they give you mimosas and you get to choose your entree when you check in so you can just walk in and eat right away at breakfast time. The stuffed French toast was delicious. For dinner, we opted for the baked brie plate, a weekend special soup flight (potato, cheddar broccoli, tomato bisque, Asian dumpling), burgers, and the brownie a la mode. The baked brie was good. I HIGHLY recommend the soups, they were absolutely delicious and my favorite thing I ate during the stay. The burgers were very disappointing, definitely try something else. The brownie a la mode was fantastic as well, delicious and big. Dinner prices for our party of two were also very reasonable. We tried a number of their sweet wines and they were quite good as well.

Overall, a nice stay.

We stopped there during our annual trip to Cook Forest. The building is well laid out and there is plenty of outdoor seating . They also have hotel rooms and suites in case you want to spend a weekend or a week. We did not stay there, but they gave us a tour of the building and showed us a couple of rooms. The rooms were beautiful. The rooms come with a bottle of wine and souvenir wine glasses. Breakfast is also included. The winery offers a variety of wines, foods and souvenirs. The surrounding area is quite and peaceful. If you are in this area, it is worth stopping by.

I Love Deer Creek Winery! This is our second stay at the Inn and had the perfect weekend! Great wine, great atmosphere, and absolutely wonderful people who work there! Stephanie and the staff at the Shippenville location are fabulous. Despite being short staffed, they were on top of everything and made us feel like family.
It was a great time to slow down and relax. Hubby and I will definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful time on our first visit. The evening lived up to the expectations provided by friends and family who stayed previously. Great room. Good music. Fantastic atmosphere. In particular, the staff was very helpful and friendly. In fact, I left behind a piece of clothing in the breakfast room, and the manager was kind enough to drop it in the mail to me. Highly recommend!

I came here Monday night with a group of women to celebrate a birthday. We rented out the entire inn and had a wonderful time. The dinner and breakfast were both very good, and the rooms are very nice and well thought out. I believe our only complaint would be that most of us prefer dry white wine, such as chardonnay and sauvignon blanc, and there aren't any. Other than that, everything was great!

This was my husbands and my first visit and our 23rd wedding anniversary 8/28. We were absolutely amazed with how beautiful the place is. Our room was very clean and awesome 👏. It was a purple theme and my favorite color. The jacuzzi was relaxing and the different colored light was cool it had. We were not wine drinkers before but are now LOL. We enjoyed the wine 🍷 tasting. Found a flavor and bought a bottle 👍. The ladies who were there that day/evening were very pleasant and friendly staff. So peaceful and quiet the evening was and having the balcony was great. We are definitely returning for our 24th anniversary next year and sooner 😁. Great time to be had.

Sincerely,
Brenda Russo

It's a magical place. Trees all around. Very romantic with lots of lights and great decor. Wines are more on the sweet side which my husband commented that this place would be great for ladies getaways or Bachelorette party. We loved it. Very romantic, secluded. And the family is great. Great and friendly staff. The wine tasting us on the house.

My husband and I stopped in to the winery on a trip to Pennsylvania. We shared a bottle of Deer Creek red, it was delicious. Bailey was our wine master and was very knowledgeable, friendly and let us try several wines before we chose Deer Creek Red. Definitely worth stopping at this special winery and bed and breakfast.

Came out for lunch and enjoyed seeing this nice facility for the first time. Seems like a pleasant winery but only had food today. It is a good menu and a country setting but a new modern facility. Our server was great. I liked my wedding soup and cheese panini . The outdoor seating areas looked like they'd be inviting although they were piled with snow today😂.
