- bmuncy60Saluda, Virginia13 contributionsSecond time aroundWe first stopped here two years ago as part of the Amish Farm Tour. The pretzels today were just as good as I remembered them, especially the garlic/herb one. This time, I made sure to buy some of the Honey Mustard to bring home as well as two boxes of pretzel mix. I'm sure I won't be able to make them as good as the girls at the stand though. Friendly folks, great variety of local products, clean rest rooms.Visited April 2023Traveled with familyWritten April 6, 2023

- POPSPOZLancaster, Pennsylvania108 contributionsAmazing Soft Pretzels and More.We have been visiting here for over 7 years and it continues to be a favorite. Delicious soft pretzels and awesome milk shakes. The Amish baked goods are the very best around. Also the staff are very helpful and friendly. It’s off the beaten path but worth the drive.Visited August 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten August 10, 2023
- Jimmie J1 contributionFantastic Place To ShopGot there late in the afternoon. So many great items in the store! The customer service was fantastic! They offered to stay open later so we would have time to shop. Will definitely return if I ever get back to this part of the U.S.Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 16, 2023
- FernWanderlustAnderson, Indiana702 contributionsEnjoy your pretzel while relaxing and taking in the areaThis was a great stop. Heard they were the best pretzels on YouTube. They did not disappoint. The cheese wasn’t my favorite, but the honey mustard was better. My husband enjoyed the root beer. We purchased some of the baked goods. Everything was excellent. We actually came back to grab a few more pretzels for lunch after a tardy breakfast the next day. The second day really enjoyed swinging and watching the buggies pass by. Take some quarters because there are pellets to feed the animals. This will definitely be a stop any time I am in the area.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 22, 2023

I have been going there for years. As time has gone on they have gotten much more expensive and more commercialized. I will admit they do still sell some of the best soft pretzels in the area. But you need to be careful what you buy. I I bought a welcome item. It had a little picket fence on the bottom with a post that leads up to a solar light and also has an arm to hang off a garden flag. Problem was I bought during the day time and just trusted the solar light worked. Well found out when i got home it barely put out any light no matter how much sunlight it got. I even bought new batteries hoping that would help. Not much I can do now since I live like 3 hours away.

We have stopped here before for the shopping inside. Handmade quilts, jarred goods and baked goods are all inside. There is homemade root beer inside by the bottle or jug, and outside by the glass. By far our favorite part of this stop were the homemade pretzels - yummy!!!

My friends and I love coming here everytime we visit the Lancaster area. I’ve bought so many wonderful things here! Recently, I bought a beautiful hand crafted birdhouse. They even sell real homemade root beer! The store is situated on a beautiful Amish farm hidden on the backroads. If you walk around to the back of the store you can see all the cute farm animals! They even have bathrooms on the premises, which are immaculate. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for Amish made crafts and delicious desserts!

We stopped in here a few days ago with some friends who live in the area. We were so happy to enjoy their warm pretzels, and also brought some root beer, whoopie pies covered in chocolate, and a few other baked goods. While we haven't tried any of the other baked goods yet, the whoopie pies were pretty darn fantastic! The pretzels that we ate on the spot were very good as well.

I have been to this location once before. I thoroughly enjoyed this quaint store. It has lovely Amish items. There is something for everyone here. I love supporting these Amish families. I know they work hard and make great items from scratch and by hand. I will visit each time I'm in the area.

The people running the store were friendly and helpful, but hoo boy this root beer is a doozy. It smelled like rotten eggs, which I'm pretty sure isn't normal considering I had root beer from a different place a while back and it did not smell like that at all. Unfortunately I don't remember which place sold it, but it sure as sugar wasn't this place. Blegh.

The Countryside Road Stand is a nice short ride into the farm land. There are a lot of unique handcrafted items and foods throughout the shop. We found a gift for a relative for Christmas who is hard to shop for. On the way out we had a hot pretzel and soft ice cream.

do they ship

When I was there in December, they were pricing out shipping for someone who wanted to have an item they bought shipped to their house. I am not sure if this extends to buying over the phone. Their phone number is: (717) 656-4474. I am not sure of their winter hours, as the owner mentioned they would be closed for a few weeks in January or February, however I would suggest calling them before 5pm during the week.
Where can we find where they serve Zook's homemade pot pies around Lancaster, Pennsylvania?

We have been there a time or two during the off season and mid-week and there were no pretzels. But during the peak seasons and on weekends they have pretzels. And, honestly, they are absolutely the best!

Deedubu67

It is a small roadside stand, parking should not be an issue as there is a large parking lot.

What are the days they are open and the hours of operation?
Steve459
Bellefonte, PA261 contributions
I believe they are open every day, except maybe Sunday. I believe it opens at 10am and closing may vary with the season. They are Amish so there are no lights in the building.
