Our visit to Old Windmill Farm was amazing! They are such kind friendly people and it was truly a one of a kind experience. Anna Ruth brought us on a hayride and was just a pleasure to be around, teaching us about the farm, it's history, and answering any questions we may have. She was a lovely lady and made us feel so welcome, it was clear her greatest desire was for us all to have a good experience, and we sure did. Her husband then took us on a tour of the farm and we got to see the horse's shoes, bottle feed baby cows and baby goats, hold baby pigs, feed then, and watch them on a slide, pet baby chicks, milk a cow, hold baby rabbits, and gather eggs. He was such a kind man and made us feel so welcome. I really just felt Jesus shining through this family and it was a joy to be with them. They had free Bible based books the kids (or anyone) could take (I'm a Christian and found this to be a happy surprise that they are wanting to love others in this way but people who don't want one certainly wouldn't need to take one, they weren't at all pushy) and I really just can't say enough about how much we loved our time there. In addition to all that, they have goats and sheep you can pet and feed even before your tour, and they had a corn box that my boys loved (like a giant sandbox in part of the barn but this one is filled with dry corn and has toys to scoop the corn and just lots of room to play). The family's youngest son was playing there too and it was such a joy to see my sons have fun with a new buddy (he and my youngest are both 4). I would definitely go again next time we're in the area and would highly recommend this experience to anyone.

Just as great as the last time! Rebecca was our guide, we got to feed the horses, cows, pigs, lambs, goats, and chickens. Held rabbits, baby chicks, lambs, and even collie puppies. We collected eggs from the chicken coop, seen ducks and turkeys and took a wagon ride around the farm. This is our 2nd time at Old Windmill Farm and we will continue to return every trip to the area! The owners are wonderful and so sweet. All the animals very well taken care of and happy. It is free for children 5 and under, personally I’d prefer to pay 3 and over as the experience is more for the kiddos anyways. This is very much worth your money.

The staff and experience was wonderful. The children and adults are offered the chance to feed and hors, goat, and chickens. You can also hold cats, baby chicks, bunnies, goats, ducks, baby pigs and more. There is the short hayride and also the option to take the barrel car ride powered by a horse. We took so many pictures and enjoyed all the new experiences. We learned a lot of things we never knew that happened on a farm. If you have a question they are more than willing to answer anything.
We highly recommend a visit to expose yourself and family to a momentary look into farm life. We spent about an hour to an hour and half. There is also a small corn barn for the kids to play in.

Lovely views indeed, clean and well presented. The issue we had as a family is the tour guides lack of control and he didn’t set up guidelines for each family to share in the experience. He just didn’t control the larger kids or set up a line for each kid to share in the experience. The larger kids would just rush in front while the smaller kids are stuck in the back waiting. We all paid to have a experience which the tour guide should’ve made sure each kids and family has a turn. We were not too happy about that as we paid and got a so,so experience..
Tour guide didn’t give a name just said to call him “grandpa “

This was a wonderful experience. What memories we made. My mom will be 87 in a few weeks and we traveled over four hours to see Esther at The Sights and Sounds Theater. It was a girls weekend I shared with my daughter (31) and granddaughter (8). We all loved it. The aroma of fresh bread baking reminded me of my grandma when I was young. She had a butter churn just like the one we used here to churn butter. As a little girl I always played with the churn but never made butter. We are inspired now to go home and get the churn out and try making butter. The cider was better than any I have ever tasted. They made us feel really welcome in their home and treated us like long time friends. We asked many questions about their way of life and discussed the world today and their view on topics like dating, marriage, their view on the covid vaccine and so many other discussions. They sent us home with a container of the butter that we made and we are going to share it with our family on our table this week on Thanksgiving Day. I jighly recommend this experience!

We went today and had an AMAZING time. Sara was our guide and she was the sweetest woman. They truly care about their animals and you can tell they love educating families about their lifestyle. We will definitely be back and will bring friends.

My son (4), daughter (2), and I had a wonderful time at Old Windmill Farm yesterday! Gracie, our darling and informative guide, did such a great job. We were the only ones there and enjoyed every minute. We fed horses, mules, Pygmy goats, and bottle fed a spotted calf. We milked Flower the cow, held puppies and baby chicks, and even collected some eggs from the hens. Charlie ran through the wheat field (great photo opp!), too. Down the lane, we bought some flavored pretzels and candy for the trip home. I highly recommend supporting this farm and the family’s method of developing their kids’ entrepreneurial skills. We’ll be back again! (Total cost: $13 for one adult, kids free.)

It was a perfect summer day. Our tour guide, Sarah, was wonderful. We arrived just in time to see the birth of a calf and it was miraculous. With Sarah's help we fed the calfs with a big bottle, we held baby chicks, and we watched the baby piglets climb a ramp and slide down the board set up for them. My favorite moment was holding the tiny baby bunny. Sarah took us for a ride in the farm wagon, and we got a good view of the farm. She was knowlegeable and friendly. I enjoyed my time at Old Windmill Farm and I would recomend this tour to everyone visiting Lancastor. It was a truly special experience.

We had a great experience at the farm. There are a lot different farm animals and their babies. My 5 year old son had so much fun to pet, feed and feel the animals. I was surprised and happy to see how good he was with all the animals. My husband almost wanted to buy the piglet and take home. The Amish girl who led the tour was super sweet and made us feel so welcomed. Would highly recommend and would love to come back to visit again, maybe buy the piglet !

We booked the 1:00 pm “Farmhouse Experience Tour.” The farm’s owner was a friendly and informative guide who helped us bake bread, churn butter, and make apple cider. When it was all prepared we sat down at the farmhouse table to eat it all. We especially enjoyed the apple cider, and the owner’s wife’s delicious homemade jams. The strawberry rhubarb jam was a big hit. We sat with some nice ladies from Long Island, which added to our experience. Next our granddaughters enjoyed seeing and feeding the animals on the farm. Before leaving, we went on a hayride. A great afternoon at the farm!
