Stepping into the Tiki lounge is like heading straight to the tropics! The set up, the decor, the drinks… I love every little thing about this place. The bartender Angie is one of a kind. She is my favorite bartender in Pittsburgh. She is so sweet, attentive, and always makes incredible cocktails. Cannot recommended enough!

Celebrating a 30th birthday with family and friends. Fantastic decor inside and prices are very reasonable. Large dance area in back and even has a downstairs level. Has a kitsch theme to it like an old 50s lounge and was a great way to spend a few hours in the evening. Bartenders are attentive and friendly and had no waiting time. Would recommend a stop by even if for just one drink to experience something different.

I hit up the South Side frequently, mostly to bars and restaurants that are very eclectic and unique. I had never been to Tiki Lounge before this weekend and now I can't believe it. The decor and vibe were awesome! Really fun drink specials, although they are a bit pricey, it goes with pretty much every tourtisty tiki bar I've ever been to. The drinks were delicious and the place was very spacious. They have different types of music on different days and there is plenty of variety and rooms to wander in. We will be back!

This place has two personalities. In the daytime before 8pm it's a Tikiphiles dream of escapism. At night it turns in to a club dance area and the Tiki goes out the window. If you are like us come during the day and step back in time where complicated liquid vacation drinks whisky you away to another place and time. If your young and looking to shake you booty and just get drunk come at night when they DJ is pumping the tunes.
The way it's set up is like a Labyrinth of conversation pits. The women's bathroom alone is a reason just to visit the Tiki Lounge

Are you a tiki fan in Pittsburgh? Creep on in here. Get your bad self an umbrella drink in your tiki mug of choice. Find an alcove, and enjoy. The Tiki Lounge does not disappoint.

This place was not what I expected. It was a little dead when we showed up but was hoppen by the end of the night. Great DJ, big dance floor, good service, great selection of booze and beer. It's an overall fun place!

Visited this place after seeing all the great reviews. I was very disappointed with the level of service and lack of friendliness. To their credit we went at 6pm for drinks and it could be a completely different place later. Smoking is allowed inside so the whole place smells like it. Had a beer and left, would not recommend.

It seems that this bar has 2 sides to it. Before 9 pm and after 9 pm. We went on a Saturday around 6 pm, and it was the perfect tiki bar. The decor is perfect- waterfalls and bamboo and carved tikis, and even Elvis over the bar. The music was perfect as well- old favorites that went with the tiki theme. The bartender James poured some fantastic tiki drinks, and when I asked to go off-menu for an Old-Fashioned he stepped it up and made the best Old Fashioned I've ever had. The icing on the cake was the 2 pinball machines- both good games, both well maintained. We walked down the street for dinner, and popped back in at 10 pm to see how the crowd had changed, as we had been advised it would. Yep, totally different place. It was packed with college-age kids drinking beers, and the music was definitely more dance music than Elvis! We absolutely love the 'earlier' version of this place.

I went to Tiki to sing on karaoke night. At its beginning, the dj announced, "Don't be surprised if I put people who have just arrived before you in line. It's fair! And if you want to complain, know that I'm the boss." Her judgment on fairness is warped, and you she was so sure of herself. Infallible ignorance. Newsflash for Pittsburgh: Not going to the end of a queue, or line, is UNFAIR. Even if I have already sung, and I am waiting in line to sing again, putting someone newly arrived ahead of me in the queue is UNFAIR and thus unethical. Ethically compromised djs should use a sign up sheet. When a singer has finished one's song, sign up to sing again. A person arriving after that would sign at the end of the list at that time. Even if a singer has already sung a song, that singer has to wait line to sing again; inserting someone who was not there and thus did not have to wait is not fair to ANY of the singers waiting in line, whether or not any had already sung. The dj at Tikis declared to justify allowing new arrivals to skip to the front line, "Everybody gets to sing!" Well, that's a fallacious excuse, because everyone gets to sing anyway, even if everyone signs up either when they arrive or at the end of one's last song. Holding off an entire line of singers so new arrivals can sing right away ignores the fact that after an existing singer has sung, one waits to sing again. Whether or not a given person in line has sung already is irrelevant because the person will have been waiting in line before the arrival of the new singer, who did not have to wait during that time. Finally, bar owners, who let new arrivals skip to the front of line so those customers will buy drinks under the misled impression that not much time would be spent waiting to sing again, are unethical business practitioners, who likely studied business at the local university, the university of Pittsburgh.

Drinks are expensive and taste sugary but are OVERLOADED with alcohol. Bartenders are sooo fast and friendly. Security is wonderful. Women's bathroom is awesome. This is a cute little tropic bungalow off Carson and I make sure I stop here every time I am in the city! There is smoking allowed, but most only smoke at the bar. It has a downstairs, so get your drink and wonder around.
