The aviarium is great in the diverse birds. you could feet the lorekkets and we saw a baby Sloth making his first steps. The place is not too big and has no predefined route so make sure to not miss anything on the map.

The baby sloth was being fed at 4:00 for all to watch. Really cool! While the baby ate the adult sloth became active and was traveling on the branches so we got to see both at one time. Also the Larakeets were fun. For $3...More

This is a wonderful experience. There is an amazing show where you do get to feed the birds and another area where they give you food and the birds come right to your hands. Wonderful for children of all ages and a great break in...More

Went here on a weekday, not to crowded. You can get really close to the birds, and in some rooms they fly free, not something you get to interact with every day.

We went on a free day so it was a little crowded but worth it. Parking is very limited though. We had to park a block away so it wasn't too bad.

If you like birds, this is the place to go. It's not an entire day adventure but the birds are very fun to just admire. Keep an eye on the feeding schedule and watch the Penguins eat and feed a tropical bird a worm right...More

Has anyone done the sloth encounter? Do you get to hold the sloth? How much interaction is there? Thinking of this for my daughters 18th birthday. Thanks!

We have not. I would expect that you are not able to actually hold the sloth. That said, call the Aviary and ask specifics. We did do a penguin encounter once. Private room with 'Preston' who was essentially loose in... More
