This place is in the heart of Pittsburgh- a very nice place to spend a few hours with family! Enjoyed viewing the birds! Saw some very exotic ones and they were able to fly around you in some areas. Would definitely go back!

Was not expecting to like this place this much. Our kids (9 year olds) loved it. The bird show is worth paying extra for as is the Lorikeet feedings.

Has anyone done the sloth encounter? Do you get to hold the sloth? How much interaction is there? Thinking of this for my daughters 18th birthday. Thanks!

We have not. I would expect that you are not able to actually hold the sloth. That said, call the Aviary and ask specifics. We did do a penguin encounter once. Private room with 'Preston' who was essentially loose in... More
