This was a wonderful way to pass 2 hours while seeing many interesting, beautiful, and some downright cute birds. I particularly enjoyed the baby flamingos, the pygmy falcon, and the penguins. This isn't an all-day excursion, but that's part of its appeal.

Arriving at the opening time (10am) is probably best idea, we came like 10:45am and at the start the place was fine to go through, but then more and more people appeared and at 12 it was unreasonable. Should you wish to try the Birdly...More

Which we could have spent more time as there are many birds to see of all kinds. The layout is easy to maneuver and the staff is helpful. The Mega Bats were the highlight!

Was on a group bus tour and visiting the National Aviary was one of the activities. I was surprised by how close one could get to many of the birds. Many unusual and beautiful birds. Very educational and paid $5 for a 20 minute film...More

Well organized with a nice collection of birds. Several interactive exhibits were nice. Decent lunch area and friendly staff. Great for a nice Sunday trip with a family. Well worth the price.

It was amazing! If you love birds, this is the place to visit. I adored the finches and songbirds. They fly freely in the room, and there is a bench to just sit, watch, and listen. We saw bald eagles, penguins, baby flamingos. The list...More

When I was growing up the Aviary was (literally) in my backyard. We'd walk there on weekends and after school and pay 15 cents to get in, (clustering around the mynabird to teach it dirty words). It is greatly improved from those early years and...More

Our cub scout den came to visit. The Aviary was very accommodating. We were able to feed the birds as well as had a discussion about adaptations within birds. I would recommend this place for any educational group.

The Aviary is on the North Side on Arch street. If you are driving, it would be about 10 minutes. I'm sorry I did not answer sooner as I've been very busy and had not seen the email request, but I hope this answer finds... More

I don't know if you can feed the Lorikeets without buying a general admission ticket for the aviary. If I recall, they are towards the middle of the aviary. I believe that the fee for feeding the Lorikeets is just $3 (not... More
