This was a planned stop for us on a trip further east. We allowed 2 hours and this was plenty. The kids (9, 6, 13 months) most enjoyed exploring with balls and cars in the “garage” area and the wonderful water and ice exploration area...More

The Children's Museum is always a fun outing. Parking directly next to the museum is minimal and we had to park in a parking garage about a block down the road. Activities and exhibits are fun and there's plenty to do when it's crowded. Staff...More

Thank you for your review and rating! We're glad you enjoyed the activities and we appreciate your feedback on the facility. The museum does employ porters to clean restrooms throughout the day, and it is their primary task. We're sorry to hear the cleaning did...More

Took my four kids, and they all loved it. We only had 1.5 hours, I wish we had all day. So much we didn't even get to. The lab is at a separate location and with only one parent I couldn't get there, but there...More

What I appreciate most at the Children’s Museum is the very high quality of the exhibits and activities. For my kids they get the creative, problem-solving part of their brains going in a super fun way. Also, the historic buildings are gorgeous, and they make...More

We visited here in June 2019. We had previously been here in 2013-2014 with our toddler, at the time and loved it. This time, we were disappointed with our experience. We purchased a family membership when we traveled here in June, even though we live...More

The Children's museum is well thought out and interactive..There might be a little bottleneck at the entrance because of the really fun kid maze that was very busy but fun..the crafting area was plenty of fun too

I think as adults you'd be better off going to the science center, Carnegie museum of natural history or art or the warhol. Pittsburgh's children's museum really is geared towards kids.
