If you've ever been to an awesome children's museum like the one in Phoenix, you know this museum is trash. It has references to Mister Rogers everywhere, but never honors kids enough to let them manipulate things they interact with. It's all the cool things...More

We brought seven kids, ages 2 - 11. They all were thoroughly entertained and could have spent much longer there. From the maze to the water room...something for everyone. Seeing Mr. Rogers puppets was a bonus !

I think as adults you'd be better off going to the science center, Carnegie museum of natural history or art or the warhol. Pittsburgh's children's museum really is geared towards kids.

How much time does it take to explore the museum with 2 children ages 2 and 5? We will be arriving at opening and are trying to decide if the museum is a full day or if we should book the Just Ducky land/boat tour later in the afternoon/evening. Thanks for any advice/feedback you can provide

The Children's Museum is very interactive and there are many activities. But children that age may tire of things and need to move on. IMHO you can definitely do both, and maybe take some time for the watersteps or hit one of the parks for some physical activity as well.
