I love Phipps. It's not the biggest garden, but it is beautiful and quaint in it's own way. To start the Conservatory is gorgeous both outside and inside. There are many different rooms, and varieties of plants. There is an orchid room, dessert room, baroque garden, water features, a butterfly room, and a huge tropical room! Outside you will find... A very beautiful and memorable experience that everyone that love flowers should not miss. The different areas and groupings of flowers and vegetation are a joy to see and all is very well kept and well displayed.

Phipps is an every season favorite for our family. There is always something beautiful to see, the staff is friendly and well informed, the cafe is amazing, and it is so close to many Oakland sights. Don't miss candlelit nights in December and be sure to visit in the spring and summer for all the outdoor areas.

Wonderful way to spend an afternoon. It is an amazingly beautiful and peaceful place to visit. Wish parking was a little easier.

Phipps is one of my favorite places in the 'burgh! All four seasons are represented with celebratory displays. Although the spring show is wonderful due to our yearning to see new growth after enduring winter, I especially like their summer shows. They have an original artistic design to them which I always look forward to seeing. The holiday season has... More

My husband and I spent an afternoon exploring Phipps Conservatory yesterday. We both came away more impressed than we could have imagined. I've been to many botanical gardens but this was over the top excellence. The beauty of the perfectly-kept plants, the educational value for all visitors, and the great activities for children make this a must-see in Pittsburgh. The... More

I was very impressed by Phipps; great activity for couples on a weekend getaway, and it looks like a great place to bring kids too. It is very large and has a lot of variety, compared to other conservatories I've visited. I was especially impressed by activities for young kids and wish we had similar amenities at our own conservatory... More

My husband and I live about an hour and 20 mins from the Conservatory. We decided to spend this afternoon doing something I have been wanting to do for several months. It was relatively easy to find and well marked. It is a beautiful place, well kept, very clean... including the restrooms. The plants are simply breath taking!!! The size... More
