I love nature photography and have enjoyed the extensive gardens at Phipps to take many beautiful photos over the past few years. There are extensive varying gardens and even though many people may think flowers and plants may not keep their interest for more than a few minutes, they may be surprised how much there is to see here. HIghly... More

Loved the conservatory. It was hot inside most of the greenhouses. Saw orchids, butterflies, raised beds, bonsais, herb gardens, perennial gardens, and a sustainable garden. The plants I saw goes on for some time, but it was well worth the trip.

I visited with two fifteen year old girls. This was a very nice feature of our Pitt Stop as we call weekends in Pittsburgh. Staff clearly works and succeeds at presentation of species while also effectively relaying the ideas behind and the need for conservation. We especially loved the sustainable building exhibits and my kids were inspired by the possibilities... More

Yes, they change the whole theme every few months so if you get a season pass you will delight in coming for each new show. The gardens are so stunning; inside and out, and the place is perfect for both large and small weddings and special parties. The place is also "green" in the sense that they have won awards... More

A real gem. We love taking the kids for Sunday visits to explore the beautiful plants and to enjoy a snack or lunch at the cafe. Also love buying special trinkets at the gift shop. The holiday flower show is truly magical.

We, my daughter, myself and whatever other family and friends want to tag along, have made a trip to Phipps a holiday tradition. We try to go in the late afternoon so that we can view the gardens in daylight and night as we never finish before dark. We can never decide which is more breathtaking so we do both!... More

Phipps is always a pleasure. We went to see the Christmas lights display and walking around inside was just as gorgeous as outside. It was a perfect visit to just stroll through the flora and fauna, take pictures, and enjoy company with friends.

My husband and I go to the Phipps Conservatory at least once a year and it is a place of botanic beauty any time of the year. Plan to spend at least 3 hours to peruse the many flora of the place. Be sure to take pictures of the beauty.

This was our first visit to Pittsburgh and we knew nothing about the conservatory. We were pleasantly surprised how big it was, with several wings and a great variety of plants and flowers. The only negative was that it wasn't cool and we were seeking air conditioning after a hot morning at the zoo.
