The incline's primary use was for transportation, more than sight seeing; and it still is the main use. The observation center on top gives a pretty good view of the city with all its skyscraper-laden splendour. You can see some really nice bridges and zoom...More

Great experience to go on the incline up to Mount Washington. Great scenery going up and one of two inclines that Pittsburgh has.

The incline itself was not anything spectacular. Cost for round trip was $15 per person and you had to have exact change. There is a change machine at the lower entrance but it only gives you coins. The view from the top is spectacular. We...More

The view is incredible. Make sure you have correct change for the incline. If you are going to look to eat while you are there, dress well and bring plenty of money. Restaurants up top are very expensive with the apps starting at about $20

We went to the top and enjoyed the ride and the view. Check out the items on display at the top, and walk down to the statute of George Washington, which also offers great views of the city. Food options at the top are limited...More

This has been a tradition in my family since I was a baby. Every time I visit the City of Pittsburgh , (which is almost every year), I simply cannot leave without taking a ride on the incline. The view from the top is just...More

Nice view, unique experience. The landing on top offers nice views. Not much else to do but read old news clippings, which is good for about 10 minutes. you won't spend more than an hour for your parking purposes.

The absolute best view of the city from the top of the incline. There is also an informative exhibit. This takes cash only, there's an ATM but why pay the fees. Park at the bottom and ride up.

The Duquesne Incline is uniquely Pittsburgh and a great attraction for any visitor. The view is magnificent and it allows for some one-of-a-kind perspectives, as well as photographs. It might be a bit scary for smaller children, but is great for couples and families, as...More

The Monongehela Incline is close to Station Square--also great. Goes to an outdoor viewing platform. The Duquesne Incline has a parking lot at the bottom on West Carson St.

We parked in the shopping center parking lot. It was very convenient. I don't remember that the parking cost very much. Hope that helps.

It's mostly residential at the top, and my recollection is that parking might be limited. Park in the lot at the bottom, ride up, exit the station and turn to your right. Walk about a quarter mile and there is a phenomenal... More
