It was 75 and sunny which can make most activities perfect in our eyes but RB did a really great job on the tour. He had to get all 13 of us prepared for the trip, novices and pros alike which took about 25 minutes. He was concerned about the safety of all riders and was dedicated to helping the novices figure out how to ride. He wasn't ever rude (some other reviews mentioned that issue), more concerned for their safety and promptly advised them on how to correct their posture to better maneuver the machine.
The first half of the tour has you riding on the city sidewalks which, luckily, are empty on the weekends. RB shared a wealth of information about the buildings and businesses of Pittsburgh. We then crossed the bridge over to the stadium side of the river which has wide sidewalks, monuments, statues and parks to explore, and then back over to Point State Park before concluding the tour. A great value and fun way to see this beautiful city!

Great Segway tour! We had a wonderful time. Weather was beautiful (ok...not really something the tour company can regulate), the tour through the city was well planned - we really navigated much of the city. Relaxing, engaging, and a completely wonderful tour!

Absolutely amazing! So happy we did the tour. Gino was an amazing guide and he was extremely patient with me as I had never used a Segway before. I really appreciated his patience. His knowledge of the city was extraordinary. He goes above and beyond to make sure everyone has a great time while learning about the city's history. No matter where we were on the tour he made sure that everyone stayed safe. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Pittsburgh whether it's for the first time or the 100th time. This tour is a must for all!!!
Thank you Gino

Tour guide was fun, but was over an hour late. We had to pay for parking longer because of it. It also forced us to push plans back. The guide took a lot of pictures and said he'd send them, but we only got three photos. The Segways themselves were nice and the guide did a good job of teaching how to ride them.

A must-do and great way to see the beauty and hidden gems of the Burgh. Gino, owner and our guide was extremely informative with his first hand knowledge of the city, past and present. The route was safe, interesting and we covered a lot of ground in 2 hours. The variety of beautiful green spaces, water features and architecture is best discovered on a Segway. Many thanks Gino!

Having some time available on the last day of our visit we decided to try a Segway tour. What fun! Jesse was our guide, he was informative and personable and he made sure we had time to get comfortable before heading off on the tour. It was a great time.

We booked a Segway tour while visiting Pittsburgh together. Each of us in our group had ridden Segways on several occasions. However, none of us were ever treated the way we were by our guide. He was rude, inconsiderate, and generally a downer! We made our own fun and enjoyed our experience despite the guide!

Had a blast. Safety was always first and foremost with Geno. Before the tour he made sure that we felt comfortable controlling and in control of the Segway at all times. During the tour he was always making sure I was always operating the Segway safely. I was lucky enough to have a personal tour by Geno, that's another story. Although it was a tour of one person Geno was more than willing to take me on the tour. Not only was Geno very informative with the information and the rich history of Pittsburgh, he always had an answer for my questions, even with places that were not on the tour. We also stopped at numerous sites for pictures. The two hours flew by very quickly. The next time I come out to Pittsburgh, with my son to see a ballgame, I plan on taking him. Many thanks Geno and I hope to see you again soon.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable but provided too much information rather quickly. We made a few stops at certain landmarks but he never gave us enough time to obtain the information. The guide mentioned he used to use headsets and I think it would be beneficial if they bring those back.

First time on a segway, it was a neat tour to experience. We had a 15 min training in the beginning then rode around Pittsburgh. Over all we had fun learning to balance and drive around on a segway but the downfall was the tour guide we had. He was rude and demanding to people I believe he could of been more compassionate to some that was trying to handle the machine. It was hard to understand what he was saying about Pittsburgh but my husband and I enjoyed riding. Careful the segway is heavy and some people had a hard time controlling it but give it a try I had fun.

Can they be allowed for this one?

Can you ride a bicycle with ease, use steps without the handrail and stand for two hours ? If you answered yes to all of that, then you can likely ride a Segway PT

are there any restrictions for those with epilepsy?
Written October 20, 2016
i would think that would be a question for your Dr. You have to sign a waiver to go on the Seqway. Also you could call the particular Segway office you are interested in and check with them ahead of time to avoid possibly being disappointed when you arrive.

How old do you have to be? I have a 15 year old daughter with leaner's permit
Written August 31, 2016
I believe she would be old enough. I think the minimum age is 12?
Written September 16, 2016
No, you need both hands and cannot have anyone strapped on your back. The ride can be pretty bumpy and goes over several bridges. May not feel safe for you if a toddler is on your back.

Station Square is closest since it is right there in the Station Square shoppes. You could even park at one of the inclines either down by Station square or up on Mt Washington and make it a full fun day of sightseeing.

How do I view costs/information about booking a tour on TripAdvisor?
Written July 18, 2016
Not sure if you can see costs in here. Go to Segway of Pittsburgh for the tour schedule and costs would be the best way.
