We were looking for a fun and different team building event for our HR Team and thought this would be something different. The team really enjoyed the tour! We had excellent weather and got to explore and learn a lot about Upper Lawrenceville that most of us never knew! It was cool to learn about our local history, and meet with the new merchants of the area. They were all so welcoming and answered any questions we had and we got to sample some really good food, beverages and sweets, all made here locally! Cory was super friendly and knew so much history and really took the time to educate the group and plan this tour! Our team appreciate the effort he put into and you can see the love he has for our city.

We had a terrific time with Cory on our Strip District Food Tour...spent the time with our neighbors and some new friends from Pittsburgh and beyond! Learned some interesting factoids about the Strip District along the way...17 inclines in the history of the city...who knew? Cory did...that's who! He was fantastic...well informed and interested in making the tour fun at every turn. How can you go wrong when you start at Wholey's for a taste of the world famous lobster roll and end up at Wigle Whiskey for a tour and tasting...I highly recommend adding the distillery to the end of the tour!!! All and all, it was a great time with great nibbles and other tastes! Thanks to Cory for bringing this new and innovative tour company to the 'Burgh!!

My husband and I did the Sunday Strip District tour with Cory. It was a highlight of our vacation to Pittsburgh! Cory is very knowledgeable about the history and culture of the Strip District. We had more tastings than we expected. No need to eat breakfast before you go out on this tour! We had so much fun exploring the area, we went back the next day to retrace our steps! A must see part of any foodies trip to Pittsburgh!

I took the Upper Lawrenceville tour with Cory as part of a group organized by Pittsburgh Young Professionals. To say that it exceeded my expectations would be the understatement of the year! Cory is friendly funny, and he rolls with the punches. He knew a ton of trivia and history about the area and specific buildings and streets within it. As a resident of Upper Lawrenceville, I thought I wouldn't learn much, but he has clearly done his research and he even had historic pictures for us to compare the old vs new. We sampled food/drinks at several locally-run places, and I left the tour completely full and happy. Cory introduced us to the owners of every place we went into, which really makes me want to go back and support them. I would do this tour again with guests visiting Pittsburgh, or with other locals who want to get to know the area deeper. Highly recommend!

My partner and I moved to Pittsburgh a couple of months ago and our tour was a great introduction to a part of the city that neither of us knew much about. The tour guide was fantastic! He had really interesting facts about the neighborhood and particular buildings as we walked from stop to stop. It was clear he had a personal relationship with each place we visited and knew all the ins-and-outs of both the food scene and the neighborhood. Though the day was hot, we didn't find that we had to walk too much between stops. We'd definitely recommend the tour, whether you're new to town, just visiting or a long time resident!

I have lived in Pittsburgh for a little under a year but had not been to any of the places on the tour. There was a good variety of places from coffee shops, to butcher shops, to bakeries all in one tour. Each place seemed indicative of the area, as well as, for the most part, had good stories to tell about where they had begun and where they hope to go. The tour guide had an obvious love for the neighborhood and knew a ton about the area. I enjoyed exploring a new up-and-coming part of the city with a humorous and knowledgeable guide. The guide provides water and the first stop was a wonderful shop with Shrub sodas, but if it is a very hot or humid day, you may wanna bring more. There is a bit of walking that must be done.

This was an awesome tour. The food samplings were excellent, we met the chefs, saw the roof top gardens, got a little history, and totally enjoyed the afternoon. I will try another tour in the fall.

We have probably been to the strip district dozens of times, but never like this. The brunch tour was a fun way to spend the day with friends. We learned a little history, heard about future plans for the area, and enjoyed some of the current flavors. Cory is a great guide and sincere fan of the strip district culture. The walking wasn't difficult and it was never very much walking at one time. Every few minutes we stopped to enjoy a bite or hear some history. This outing would be a good choice whether you are new to the area or have been here for generations.

I've lived in Pittsburgh for 7 years and feel like I've "seen it all". I joined a group of friends for a tour of Lawrenceville with Food Guy Adventures mostly for the promise of tasty eats, but ended up getting much more than that. We had an amazing time and learned so many cool and interesting bits about the history of the area and particular buildings and murals. Not only did we get food, but we explored where it came from and how it is all connected, from community gardens to local businesses supporting each other and sharing resources. The guide was great and felt like a part of the group and was really into sharing his knowledge of the community. It was a nice walk, but was really hot (making the cool treats all the better!!) It was an experience that I look forward to recreating with different sections of the city!!

The rating was based on the fact that This is no longer available. The operator has moved to Washington DC. We hope someone as will offer similar services in Pittsburgh soon.
