Highly recommend. Whether you admire or are interested in Ali as a person or athlete, this is a fascinating, intimate place to experience. It has been meticulously restored, and with the pictures and videos you are transported back in time. Mick was welcoming and full of information. You are allowed to roam at your own pace to learn and sense why this place was important to Ali. Tucked away, so don't miss it.

My husband and I discovered Fighter’s Heaven while researching for things to do in Pottsville Pennsylvania. Fighter’s Heaven was the former training camp of Muhammad Ali from 1972 to 1980. We set up a tour with Mick for a short walk through of the camp. He was knowledgeable of the professional and personal life of Muhammad Ali. Mick also shared information about the layout, restoration, and the daily workings of the camp. After our tour was over we were encouraged to spend time in the various buildings. The buildings are closely grouped together making walking around easy and pleasant. In several of the buildings there are short videos to watch and photo albums to look through. A visit to the camp is worth the drive. Fighter’s Heaven is situated in beautiful rural Deer Lake Pa. We would like to thank Mick for our tour and his dedication to Fighter’s Heaven. Deer Lake is also a short drive (about 11 miles) to Pottsville where you can tour the original Yuengling Brewery which is the oldest brewery in the country.

An absolute must see for any Ali fan or boxing fan in general. To call this place beautiful is an understatement. Mike Madden and his team have gone above and beyond restoring the cabins and the grounds to recreate the perfect original experience. Mick is a gracious host and is so knowledgeable about all aspects and details of the camp. He knows the history and story behind every building and artifact. Everything is hands on- and accessible to visitors. There are interactive videos throughout the camp showing footage of Ali that pertain to those specific areas of the camp. These videos bring you back to the 1970's and let you see the camp exactly how it was when Ali was there. I can't say enough about my amazing visit to Fighter's Haven and I recommend every boxing fan or Ali fan visit this place at LEAST once in their lifetime. It is the most peaceful, serenic place I have ever been.

We visited Fighters Heaven on Labor Day weekend and it was fantastic from beginning to end. We are about 1 hour and 15 minutes away and when we arrived, the gravel parking lot was easily marked and we parked and were greeted within minutes by Joe. Joe gave us a tour of where we could walk and what to see but mostly let us walk on our own. Everyone that we saw there was wearing a mask as we were as well. We went inside one of the cabins that was Muhammad Ali‘s, and the inside, although not an exact replica had many of the same items that were there when he was there. We looked at the photos and took some pictures. Also saw the large rocks and the kitchen and then went into what is now more of a visiting center but had a boxing ring inside. We were greeted by Linda, who knew Muhammad Ali and she was able to provide many insightful stories. Although there is no charge, they do take donations, and the donations are mostly through the purchase of T-shirts or sweatshirts, etc. So we bought one of each and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. It was well worth the trip. And there are nice video clips of Muhammad Ali and also wonderful pictures along with quotes. Also, it was extremely clean and you get the sense that the owners really love this property.

I got educated by Mick Stefanek during my recent tour and he was very knowledgeable and compassionate about Ali’s camp. The love and passion Mr Madden and Mick put into the facility is amazing. There are actual videos you may view when Ali was at the training camp scattered throughout the facility. Visit the site , check it out , see when you can take the time to experience this legendary site.

This is an amazing place of excellent preserved history. For the boxing fan, American historian, and spiritual person, you will feel the energy of this beautiful place. I got emotional as I walked, sat and posed for pictures in the very same spots that the great Muhummad Ali once did. The experience has created a desire in me to visit this site each year. Check out the videos of Ali here back in the 70s before you go and you will see just how special this place is. And remember, when you go into Ali's Cabin, look the light switch that he would turn off at night and be in bed before the room got dark!

This is a bucket list, must see piece of history for anyone who loves boxing, but particularly a fan of "The Greatest". Had the pleasure of visiting Fighters Heaven just yesterday and I can't stop talking and thinking about it. Upon arrival we were immediately greeted by Mick, who provided a very informative personal tour of the camp. You could tell Mick loved the place and enjoyed providing insight and details of the training camp from the time the property was originally secured for Ali all the way up to present day including restoration. You felt like you were on sacred grounds as Mick guided us thru all the cabins. I challenge you to step foot into the gym and not get goosebumps! It was that good. We took lots of pictures and have a lot of memories from the visit! Thanks to Mike Madden for making sure this part of Ali's legend continues on. We WILL be back, as it was truly a KO victory for sure!

We had the absolute pleasure to enjoy the magic of Muhammad Ali's training camp. Mick, the director, knows everything and loves to share the stories. Such a deep, personal and at the same time public persona. The more you learn about Ali, the more fascinating he is. We spent 2 hours in the glorious simplicity of mountains, log cabins and all things Ali. If you are a fan or just love history, please check it out. No entrance fee, but donations to non-profits of Ali's choice are welcome.

My friends and I stopped by Fighter’s Heaven yesterday. It was my third visit to this inspirational place where you can walk in the footsteps of Mohammad Ali and be taken back to a time when Ali ruled the boxing world. It is the real deal! The restoration of the half century old buildings is impeccable. We are all very fortunate that Mr. Madden has undertaken this labor of love. Were it not for him, this truly historic facility might have just faded away. We enjoyed the educational tour and appreciated the painstaking efforts to restore the camp to its original glory days. Take the time to go there and have an experience that will stay with you for the rest of your life.

If you are a boxing or Muhummad Ali fan, this place is a must visit. This was Ali's training camp from '72-'80. You can go inside just about all building in the camp. The gym, kitchen, Ali's individual building, his family living quarters, and his Mosque. Staff here is super knowledgeable and friendly. We spent hours checking it out. Even climbed in the ring! This is open free to.the public, you just have to call to make a reservation on weekdays.
