    Wonderful Experience
What a wonderful experience to visit such an important part of Muhammad Ali’s career. Thanks to Mike Madden and others for having the insight to preserve such a great part of history. Interesting on how Ali decided to choose this location as his camp. A beautiful spot. Our guide and camp caretaker, Mick, gave us an overview of the camp. We started in the gym, which is filled with memorabilia and went onto Ali’s cabin. After that we did our own self guided tour which included 3 more buildings, the cafeteria, family cabin and mosque. There are other staff cabins located on the steep hill not open to the public but you can walk up and explore the area. You definitely can linger and really enjoy the site with all the hand painted rocks, beautiful outdoor fireplace ares and the videos in several of the cabins and gym. The videos really capture Ali’s essence, Hard to believe that it is free to tour although donations are accepted. There are also several items for sale including t shirts and a terrific photo book. The site can be used for special events and I would encourage all to check it out and e- mail or call to receive more information. This is a special place that thankfully has been saved!

    A MUST SEE
This was one of our BEST stops on our extended trip! Our host was Mick and very knowledgeable and personable! This is definitely a “MUST SEE” stop for families or especially adults who remember him from his early days. It’s wonderful that it has become part of the historical registry! The videos in the different buildings were so informative. You imagine how it would have felt to watch him train with the sparring partner! Big thanks to Mike Madden for saving and preserving this wonderful place! We are from Washington state and so grateful we got to stop!!

    Worth the drive.
Worth the drive. We drove an hour to visit Muhammad Ali's training camp. The story, the presentation, our tour guide, the area is right on the money. The restoration efforts are appreciated. It was a privilege to visit this land mark in beautiful Pennsylvania. We watched "What's my Name" when we returned, a 2019 documentary film about the "Champ".

Dream destination for an Ali fan!!
Being born in Bucks County, PA with family in Pottsville, PA I would often drive up the hill with my grandparents back in the 80's to see the "big boulders" with the fighters names. Now residing in NH, I make the trek to PA every Thanksgiving to spend time with family. This year my family toured Fighter's Heaven. Mick Stefanek was excellent. He was accomodating and knowledgable. We truly left with a great appreciation for the camp and Ali as both a fighter and human being. The entire complex has been refurbished with the greatest attention to detail. I would highly suggest this be a stop on your next trip.

    A Must See!!!
My girlfriend surprised me with a visit to Fighter’s Heaven . . & GOODNESS . . It didn’t disappoint. We were first greeted by Mick and he gave us the lay of the land . . The history and then the lay out. We were left to explore a variety of cabins and Ali’s mosque. The gym had some great photo opportunities and it was very clean. Mick was very knowledgeable of the site as well as the area. I highly recommend especially if you are a boxing fan. Thx Mick and Madden family for what you all do to preserve such a special place!

    Must go adventure
This is a must see when you are in the northeast. I am not a boxer nor have an interest in the sport, but found the camp very well preserved and lots of information. You could feel the spirit of Mohammad Ali there. We went in the off season and Nick made it very easy to accommodate us. He was very knowledgeable. It was cool to be able to “touch” things, as in most museums you cannot. He encouraged us to reenact some of the photos, which I thought brought a sense of life to the space, as you were a part of the setting, and something Mohammad Ali would tell you to do.

    LEGENDARY ADVENTURE!!!
Make the trip! Fighters Heaven exceeded my expectations in all ways. AMAZING photo opportunities! The entire area was beautiful. My guide, Mick, was very kind and knowledgeable. He showed me around and let me explore on my own. Scheduling this trip was quick and simple to do from the website. I think anybody would have an amazing time here. It is FREE yet I would recommend leaving a donation or buying some merch because it goes to some really great charities and causes! Visiting here was an experience I will never forget. Thanks for everything!

Great fun day for the family
Fighter’s Heaven was such a great place to visit. Whether you’re a boxing fan or not, this will allow you to travel back to the time when Ali trained with other boxers in a more humble setting. Gives you an insight on his thoughts and feelings. Mick was great at guiding us through the complex and sharing a lot of interesting insight on the location and its most famous inhabitant. You will gain a new perspective on who Muhammad Ali was. It’s also a fun place for kids. They’ll enjoy playing around in the ring Ali trained.

    Wonderful Historical Stop
As a homeschooling family, we make it a point to stop at historical places when traveling. During a recent trip to Bloomsburg for a Cubing Competition, I scoured for educational stops and found Fighter’s Heaven. Although the site was closed for the season, we were able to reach out to Mick who quickly communicated with us and set up a tour. Mick was an excellent guide, providing ample information for our family and making the experience memorable. The property is wonderful and an excellent opportunity to learn more about Muhammad Ali. Even if you’re not into boxing, it is worth a visit.

My husband and I discovered Fighter’s Heaven while researching for things to do in Pottsville Pennsylvania. Fighter’s Heaven was the former training camp of Muhammad Ali from 1972 to 1980. We set up a tour with Mick for a short walk through of the camp. He was knowledgeable of the professional and personal life of Muhammad Ali. Mick also shared information about the layout, restoration, and the daily workings of the camp. After our tour was over we were encouraged to spend time in the various buildings. The buildings are closely grouped together making walking around easy and pleasant. In several of the buildings there are short videos to watch and photo albums to look through. A visit to the camp is worth the drive. Fighter’s Heaven is situated in beautiful rural Deer Lake Pa. We would like to thank Mick for our tour and his dedication to Fighter’s Heaven. Deer Lake is also a short drive (about 11 miles) to Pottsville where you can tour the original Yuengling Brewery which is the oldest brewery in the country.

I got educated by Mick Stefanek during my recent tour and he was very knowledgeable and compassionate about Ali’s camp. The love and passion Mr Madden and Mick put into the facility is amazing. There are actual videos you may view when Ali was at the training camp scattered throughout the facility. Visit the site , check it out , see when you can take the time to experience this legendary site.

This is a bucket list, must see piece of history for anyone who loves boxing, but particularly a fan of "The Greatest". Had the pleasure of visiting Fighters Heaven just yesterday and I can't stop talking and thinking about it. Upon arrival we were immediately greeted by Mick, who provided a very informative personal tour of the camp. You could tell Mick loved the place and enjoyed providing insight and details of the training camp from the time the property was originally secured for Ali all the way up to present day including restoration. You felt like you were on sacred grounds as Mick guided us thru all the cabins. I challenge you to step foot into the gym and not get goosebumps! It was that good. We took lots of pictures and have a lot of memories from the visit! Thanks to Mike Madden for making sure this part of Ali's legend continues on. We WILL be back, as it was truly a KO victory for sure!

My friends and I stopped by Fighter’s Heaven yesterday. It was my third visit to this inspirational place where you can walk in the footsteps of Mohammad Ali and be taken back to a time when Ali ruled the boxing world. It is the real deal! The restoration of the half century old buildings is impeccable. We are all very fortunate that Mr. Madden has undertaken this labor of love. Were it not for him, this truly historic facility might have just faded away. We enjoyed the educational tour and appreciated the painstaking efforts to restore the camp to its original glory days. Take the time to go there and have an experience that will stay with you for the rest of your life.

Really enjoyed our visit to Ali’s camp yesterday. I grew up about three miles away and remember visiting as a kid, and seeing Ali and his training partners jogging alongside the road. Mick Stefanek gave us a great tour. Would be ideal for a business or nonprofit retreat or meeting when your group needs to get away to a rustic setting — especially if some of the group are Ali fans. Thanks to Mark Madden for saving this piece of history.
