I highly recommend you stop at the Visitor Center so you can get the best view of the falls in the center of the town of Ohiopyle. Thanks to one of the local shopkeepers for letting us know about it.

Stayed two night in an Rv.. Clean with friendly staff. Not really set up for big rigs and long trailers. Best sites are for the tent campers which are closer to the river. Clearly marked trails and about 20 minute hike to Ohiopyle downtown area. Uphill on way back. Easy access to bike trails. Access to river/fishing from camp ground... More

Visiting this town and State Park was a summer highlight. Very cool little town. Ferncliff Trail gives you close-up views of the awesome waterfalls in the center of town. Nature center is new and state of the art. So much to do, so much to see. Local camping is pretty decent, cycling is great, hiking the Laurel Highlands superb, rafting... More

There are many options to explore. Only problem sometimes we had was trying to fiqure out directions to and from things. Never been here before so once we got bearings. There are natural slides, laurel caverns, white water rafting, kayaking, biking, hiking and many other options. we needed a better plan of what we wanted to do. We were there... More

Plenty to do here. Lots of trails, interesting ecology, clean water, nice people, good food & beer. Kentuck Knob (Frank Lloyd Wright's) is nearby. Campground is nice, not too crowded. There's a market in town for last minute items. Bikes & boats available to rent. Super dog-friendly.

I had always heard about Ohiopyle State Park from my friends. For years they would tell me about how cold, fresh and clean the water was and how there was just so much to do from hiking to biking. I finally got the chance to visit and man it was stunning. The river water was so clean and cold ,... More

This is a beautiful state park with the Yougheheny River its main feature. There are river activities for all levels and beautiful hiking trails and bike paths. There are places to rent bikes and sign up for rafting trips. Wish I had more time to spend there.

We were there at low water. Played in the river with my 9 years old, then went to the water slide. The later is fun, but get ready to be beat up a bit.

In the fall we did a short hike across the bridge and the trail on the other side to get to where there's another bridge looking down on rafters. Beautiful views. So, had to go back and raft! Lower Yough, good river guide with Laurel Highlands Tours. Did this trip twice, thirty years apart, so much fun at both ages.... More
