First of all, if you are not used to mountain driving, follow the directional signs on hwy 40 to the park and other locations. I was headed back from the east and thought I would shortcut to Ohiopyle from 40 on 381 instead of going on to Chalk Hill and then up past Kentuck Knob to the park. Don't do... More

We didn't get to spend a lot of time here. We went after we went to Falling Water. The weather was great, but overcast, typical for October. Not many people there since it was during the week. Can't wait to go back and spend time there.

This park has lot of really great views. Near the falls, there is a large walkway that will lead you to the best view of the falls. Definitely worth a visit!

This is a beautiful park. We walked along the river as well as in the woods and really enjoyed our autumn adventure here. We were expecting the park to be much busier than it was, but we were pleasantly surprised to only encounter small pockets of other visitors. There were some really lovely views of the river from both popular... More

Beautiful place to walk along the water, kayak, and stroll through the town. Great for a family trip or a couple's get away.

Full of beautiful works of nature from the river to the hiking trails and hidden waterfalls, it is a wonderful park. Great for picnicking! Also, the shops are a nice touch with sweets, goods, and food nearby. The bike trails are a lot of fun and great way to get a group together for entertaining exhilarating excercise in the form... This a quality park with so much to offer! My husband and spent two days and one night camping/hiking here on an autumn visit from Ohio. It was such a wonderful place to visit for only a 4 hour drive. The park everything: falls, rapids, rock formations, wildlife, convenience. I would love to come to back.

The falls are tiny compared to Niagara Falls, a very pleasant drive in autumn (fall) with all the lovely colored leaves. Quite relaxing sitting by the riverside in the sun.

The Youghiogheny River is the heart of this park. A unique and beautiful area was carved during the last ice age and was called Ohiopyle by the Lenape native people who are first recorded as settling here. The name means roughly, "where the water turns white" and refers to the rapids and waterfall. Back in the early part of the... More
