This was my second trip to Courtyard. Once again it did not disappoint. Their wines are a bit more expensive than others nearby. The wines are also of good quality and they have a few varieties you cannot get elsewhere, namely the Zweigelt. Our bartender was very pleasant and talkative. We enjoyed meeting him and chatting while tasting. The indoor and outdoor seating is lovely and cozy. Everything is accessible and the restrooms are clean.

You KNOW how disappointing bad wine is. But you will never be disappointed with the oenologist's delights served up at the Courtyard. This winery features wines -- red, white, blush --- ranging from dry to quite sweet. Something for everyone's taste and the tasting fee is reasonable. We only wish they would rebate the fee on a purchase of $50.00 or more on their fine wines. Stock your cellar and be sure your butler knows your preference.

Family and I stopped by for a quick tasting. The staff was very helpful. We got our wines and enjoyed the outdoor seating, which there was plenty of. Tasty wine.

In my opinion, the chief reason to visit a winery is to stand at the bar and talk to a knowledgeable employee about the wines being offered. Unfortunately, when we were here a combination of large crowd and seeming understaffing made it impossible to talk about their wines. Tasting samples very reasonably priced.

We haven't been here in several years. I remember the wine being really good last time. So, it seems that the wineries in the Erie area have turned away from a real wine tasting and on to flights. I'm ok with flights, but I'm not ok with them being in plastic! Do you realize how much waste you're producing??? We were very disappointed in the fact that you did not offer a real wine tasting! I expect a tasting to be done in a real glass, so that I can taste the wine properly. Instead, you have me fill out a form at a bar that looks like a smoothie bar, tell me to sit down and you bring me a flight in plastic cups. And, I'm not told about the wine at all. Part of a wine tasting is hearing about the wine, where it's from and all that jazz. It's lazy to not use glasses. I know that you have them. Plastic is horrible! If you feel the need for plastic, at least use composable cups!

My son was graduating college on a Sunday. So, we reserved a limo to take 10 of us around to some wineries the Saturday before to celebrate. I researched and planned visits to 7 of the highest rated wineries around Lake Erie and a lunch at Freeport Restaurant.

For Courtyard Winery, we purchased their Groupon deal for VIP tasting with Pulakos chocolates before we left. We scheduled our VIP tasting in advance, as required. What a treat! They had a separate room set up for us with the chocolates displayed. The presentation was lovely and the representative provided narrative about each of the tastings. Without a doubt, all of us declared Courtyard Winery to be our favorite visit of the day. The wine, presentation, and chocolates were simply lovely!

Had bought a bottle at a local wine festival so when in the area had to stop and get another. Delicious. The girl doing our tasting was very knowledgeable.

The wine store is pure class. From the moment you step inside you notice the beautiful wood décor and it's balance. The wines are presented for tasting at two location, for those who like sweeter and drier. I will point out one called Chardonal. It is a taste experience. Makes this a place to stop, just West of North East ,Pa on Rt.20.

We stopped in to Courtyard on Friday night for a tasting. They have a tasting bar in the front for their sweet wines and one in the back for drier wines. My husband and I sampled both. We found the all the wines to be unique and enjoyable. I especially enjoyed the Chocopelli - a cross between a chocolate and wine. My husband enjoyed the Beach Glass White. At the back bar, we both really liked the Chardonel. We had a very nice time talking to the owners - they were very knowledgeable about both wine and attractions in the area. We really enjoyed our visit!

Four of us recently went to Courtyard Wineries for the first time. They have two separate bars: one for sweeter and one for drier wines. The staff was knowledgeable, personable, friendly and helpful. All four of us agreed that this was one of our favorite wineries from our trip (we went to 17). The wines were all quality, the descriptions were helpful to choose as well. The tasting fee was $2 for four samples, but each of us had five samples. The bottle prices were very reasonable, which made it even more difficult to decide what to purchase. We will absolutely return to Courtyard in the future!!
