I recently visited Presque Isle Wine Cellars and had a wonderful experience. The staff in the tasting room was courteous, fun, and knowledgeable. The staff was also helpful in pointing out places of interest in the area. The setting was lovely with a beautiful creek nearby. The wine was exceptional. Presque Isle has a wide range of wines at attractive prices. I was especially impressed with the "kisses" collection. Cinnful kisses, Eskimo kisses and hot kisses were very unique and worth visiting the winery. The cabernet sauvignon was first rate and the cabernet franc was outstanding. I also learned that Presque Isle is one of the oldest wineries in the area and they have won numerous gold medals in competitions around the US. We were having such a good time we stayed for lunch which was delicious. What a jewel of a find right here in NW PA. I will definitely go back to sample more wines!

Wow, checking the other reviews makes me wish I lived nearby to take advantage of this wonderful place. We stop in whenever in the area. They have a very large wine list that is amazing, from very sweet to big dry wines. All are reasonably priced. Dave is a fabulous addition to their family - friendly, informed and pleasant. And if you ever need winemaking supplies, this is it! These guys are a "must" for any home winemaker.

Went with my boyfriend on a Saturday afternoon to do a tasting, have a small meal, and possibly purchase. We were two of four people in the tasting room, and no one acknowledged us until after about 10 minutes.
Wine tastings are 6 samples for $1, which is more than you get as most other wineries. There was another couple, probably early 40's, doing a tasting. The woman pouring (long black hair, never introduced herself) gave them the majority of her attention. She came over to us, poured our sample, and went back to talk to them. Really acted like we (a mid-20's couple) were annoying her when we wanted another sample. Kept trying to rush us out at 4pm when they didn't close until 5. We were planning on having a meal there but left strictly because we didn't not feel welcomed and were largely ignored.
Did purchase a bottle of Pink Catawba. Super sweet and delicious. Probably wouldn't go back just based on how we were treated while there. Went to Courtyard Wineries down the road afterward and were warmly welcomed. Go figure.

I am very new to wine making. I asked around family, friends and co-workers where I can go where someone can explain to me the process and help me in creating my very own wine! Pretty much everyone I talked to recommended your winery. Presque Isle came very highly recommended as far as experience, knowledge and friendliness. So I came to your winery on Monday, very excited and with very high hopes of gaining the vast knowledge of wine making that everyone said I would receive from your staff. I went to the tasting room and had a wonderful experience. Your staff was very happy, friendly, helpful and very professional. They recommended I go down to the Creekside location to get my wine making questions answered. When I went there, it was a completely different experience. The woman who was working, the tall blonde hair girl, gave me quite the attitude. It was as if I was interrupting her life to ask her some questions. When I asked the difference between young wine and juice, she was very rude and snarky. I felt very disrespected and I decided that I was not going to be treated that way and left. I was very disappointed as Presque Isle had come very highly recommended and at first I had a wonderful experience, however once I was waited on by her, my taste for your winery dissipated. She completely ruined my experience and I refuse to ever step foot in that winery again. I have many friends and co-workers who I will be telling about my experience with that woman there and encourage them to go elsewhere to purchase any wine or equipment. I felt very disrespected and no one in that type of business should ever treat their customers that way.

Presque Isle Wine is the only place I will get wine from! Their wine is delicious, and they have so many options that will suite anyone. Not to mention the service is fabulous. I feel like I'm talking to friends and family that I've known my whole life. They all treat you as if you're family, and they're so helpful! I would highly recommend this place for wine lovers!

We stopped in for a wine tasting and were met by a lady who was not happy to see us. "What are you here for" is not the way to greet your customers! The wine was not great, maybe if you like very sweet wine, it would be okay. Hopefully we just caught someone in a bad mood!

My mom and were on a road trip and found a brochure of wineries at one of the rest stops. Presque Isle Wine Cellars was on our way, so we decided to stop. I read that they had a picnic table by the waterfalls. We decided to make this our lunch stop.
The people inside were very helpful, especially the young man pouring our tasting, as he was also the chef/cook. The other lady was eating her lunch. I think we arrived around 1:30 or so. The tasting was fun. Not terrific wine, but not bad either. We bought a couple of bottles, and when I drank them later they were quite pleasant.
We ordered the traditional pizza and the drunken shrimp. The pizza was fine and the shrimp was cooked nicely. The "housemade guacamole" that it was served on was an interesting interpretation of guacamole. The avocado had the texture of artichoke. The taste was pleasant.
They packed our lunch in a picnic basket, and we drove down to the waterfalls. My mother has mobility issues, but the walk from the parking spot was easy. Waterfalls is stretching it a bit, but it is a pleasant stream. Perhaps we caught it when there was little water. My only complaint is that wine glasses would have been nice instead of plastic cups.
After lunch we returned the basket to the main house, and they let us go to the their vineyards (careful as there are some vines that aren't theirs) and pick some grapes to eat. It was really fun.
I would definitely return to this spot!
