Small but nice

We visited this zoo as a surprise for my 22 years old daughter who is a vet tech, she loves all animals. The zoo is small and can be done in a a few hours at the most. We... read more

It is a bit upsetting to think of a small zoo so close to the Philadelphia zoo, a landmark, but the Elmwood zoo is a great experience for the younger set and easier to see it all in a short time frame. There is a bridge that allows you to look down on some animals and, at present, there is... More

The Elmwood Park Zoo is a child's fantasy. You can feed the giraffes, watch the prairie dogs pop up out of their holes, listen to the gibbons yell, try a zip line, just a great time for all.

The Elmwood Park Zoo is a small zoo that is fun for the entire family and people of all ages. You don't have to be a child to enjoy the zoo. We visited the zoo for a family event for Temple University alumni and their families from 2-6pm on 10/2/16. Stella the Great Horned Owl is Temple University's mascot and... More

I used to come here all of the time as a kid growing up in Norristown. I always loved this place and the animals, particularly the otters. However, now that I am an adult, my most recent visit seemed sad. It is a very small property, and the animals seem cramped and somewhat sad.

We love to take our 2 year old to this zoo. In about 2 hours you can see everything which is about as long as he will last. There is a carousel and train ride that are fun though both are an additional fee. You can also feed some animals, again for an additional fee. The giraffes are our favorites.... More

Great local zoo in the Norristown area of the Philly suburbs. Prices are affordable and they are keeping up to date with giraffes, new wolf area, tree houses, interactive games and banquet hall too for private affairs.

I noticed many reviewers mentioned that this is a great zoo for younger children. I have a 2 year old and a 13 year old and they both loved it. My two year old loved the play areas. My 13 year old has not stopped talking about the treetop adventures. They both enjoyed seeing the animals. We got there late... More

This is a great little zoo for children ages 1-9 or so. Is geared for younger children. There is a zipline attraction that looks good for older kids and adults. We had a really nice time.

This is a very nice zoo that is located in a neighborhood. You would never think that a zoo would be there, but that adds to its appeal. There are all type of animals in this wonderful setting. The only negative is parking, but if you get there early that isn't a problem. The lot is small.
