We went to the Free tour at the Parry house, and found it a bit tedious. Thankfully they explain it will take around 45 minutes and if you need to go, to graciously slip out. We did after seeing most of the house. It is interesting and probably worth listening to if you have the time. Our lady was a... More

Built in 1784 by Benjamin Parry this 18th century Georgian style home has two stories featuring 11 period decorated rooms from 1775 to 1900. It reflects the five generations of Parry's that resided in the home. It is also on the National Registry of Historical Places. As many times as I have been to New Hope and it has been many many times over many years, I have never taken the time to visit the Parry House. So today after a very pleasant lunch at Marsha Browns my companion and I decided to go. The tour was free and a guide was instantly available and sat... More

I was here on a Sunday for a free tour (not sure what the usual cost is). Only got to see the ground floor of the house as only two staff persons were there that day. Looking forward to going back for the full tour.

Enjoyable tour of the Parry Mansion and it was Free! The only thing I noticed was tours are done every 30 minutes and they start the tour earlier if they have people waiting so if you go and come back at the time listed on the door they may have already started the next tour. We saw this happen twice.

The Parry Mansion is a beautifully preserved piece of PA history. The docents tell interesting stories about the home's history and the people who lived in it. Go on the tour - you'll be glad you did!

I went to this free museum and have to say it was one of the best tours I've ever been on. The tour leader knew all about every piece of furniture, artifact in every room and could answer any questions you had. The rooms were divided by time period and all the things in the room were either owned by... More

Tours are docent led. When we visited (July) they appeared to run every half hour. We checked the "next tour" time on the front door, went back into town to look around, and arrived back about five minutes early. There is no fee, but you can leave a donation. They don't pressure you to do so but I'd say most... More

Can't say enough good things about the Parry Mansion. The docent was so accommodating and clearly knew every nook and cranny of this home. All of the eras represented were without a doubt thoroughly researched and information delivered well. We arrived on a Saturday morning when they were closed but getting ready for a huge garden tour. When I explained... More

Went with my husband and three boys ages 11, 13 and 15. We all loved it. Very informative. The kids thought it was cool seeing how a home was decorated and built in the 1800's. I would highly recommend this free tour. They do accept donations but do NOT guilt you into leaving one. I did anyway because it was... More
