A state park in Media, PA, a trekker's paradise with biking trails, horseriding, sledding, tobogganing, etc. The Hunting Hill Mansion can be rented for weddings & receptions. It's a beautiful Colonial structure giving us an idea of it's grand heydays. The well laid out gardens are a delight to walk around & take pictures. A nice 2 hour sojourn amid forests, trails & picnic spots, quite close to Philadelphia.

A place where you really breathe the natural air, good to get away and enjoy a good time. Many horses and trees, a giant mansion and many animals, honestly one of the best parks closer to the city of Philadelphia.

This park is truly a gem, gift from God! After 30+ years of running and walking the park in the trails it never gets old. Delco is lucky to have this little jewel

The woodwork inside the mansion was very nice. The trails were average, no stunning views. There was not a lot of information about the length or difficulty of the trails, so it was hard to plan your hikes.A lot of the small parking areas fill up quickly at the trail-heads, which is a definite disadvantage.

I have always loved our trips up to Pennsylvania, but one of the highlights of our trip was visiting here. It was a wonderful experience. The people were friendly, and there were even playgrounds for the kids! If anyone is visiting in this area, they should try to make some time to come here.its fun for everyone!

Beautiful and well kept park. Great for taking a walk along the paved loop path, biking or hiking along the trails.

This location is worth the trip for the hiking trails alone. It's not an overly difficult location which makes it a good place for family hikes. The park is sprawling so never expect it to be crowded even on a summer weekend. Great for picnics and nature lovers. The mansion is also lovely. Perfect venue for photographers.

This park is always great for weekend hikers. The trails are fairly - not perfectly - well marked and they offer some uphill and downhill walking. You can combine white, blue and yellow trails into some lovely round trip hikes. The trails along the Creek are particularly beautiful. One can pick up a very useful map at the visitor center or near the colonial plantation. There seem to be only one road in and out of the park which is not particularly practical. Some internal roads are for multiple forms of use - biking, running and walking. Unpaved roads are for hikers.

We love parking just outside the park, putting our dogs on leashes, and taking them for a 4 mile run. The park provides poop bags, trash cans for the canine gifts, and water for the dogs. The creek and woods are lovely.

It's pretty much the same as always, except for all the Covid guidance signs. It's shady and cool, not very crowded, dog friendly, and most importantly - relaxing.

Is there a place to purchase food or do we need to bring our own?

No place to purchase food or beverages at the park but many picnic tables at the mansion and at each of the numbered sites, and benches along the trails.
Are those hose attachments to blow up kiddie pools? Is there swimming near or on the premises? How much are horses to rent? Can u get a diagram of the park mailed/emailed to you?

no formal swimming pool, kids do enjoy getting wet in the creek
Did they used to have regular camping here? We are trying to find the park we stayed at last time we visited Philly in the 2007-8?

You would have to go to Hidden Valley Farms, go to website visitpa . com / pa-horseback-riding / ridley-creek-state-park (remove all the spaces) and call (610) 892-7260 for more info.
Do they have horseback riding at Ridley Creek state park

I think they have horseback riding and the name of the facility is Hidden Valley Farm within Ridley Creek State Park. I believe you can rent horses. If you look up Hidden Valley Farm Ridley Creek SP you'll probably find it.
