Locust Lane is a smallish place with some decent craft and a dependable, friendly staff. In these times, any brewery with a beer dedicated to health care worker charities deserves our support. “Game Day” is especially well done.

Locust Lane is local to me, very close and convenient, and I think they make a quality product based on what I've tasted so far. But they do not make it easy for me to love them (as much as I want to). I've been there about 5 or 6 times so far. Service is very inconsistent. The food trucks... not a huge fan. I've been there when all owners were present. Instead of interacting with customers, they isolate themselves and talk with each other (not with customers). My recent visit with my boy visiting from NYC (12/3/18) during a very important Eagles game and very busy Sunday afternoon at the tap room, there was one bar tender on duty, her sister showed up to help (but i don't think was planned), no owners to be found, food truck ran out of fries (how the hell do you run out of fries?!). We decided to leave before the half (after spending $54). I would have loved to spend the entire game (and another $54) but just couldn't do it folks. To the owners, please hire a GM, require he or she be there at all times, turn on the freaking lights in the brewery so we know where we are (lights were off in the brewery on a busy Sunday afternoon). There are plenty of other places to go in the Malvern area, make it hard for people (like me) to go anywhere else but Locust Lane. Right now, it's not a difficult call to make to go to Christopher's.

The brewery has a nice section of beers from a wit to a stout. I favor IPA's, Porters and Stouts. The flight I went through had 3 IPAs and the stout. Ended up going home with the Experiment #6 Staff was friendly and attentive. They had live music the night I was there. The music was not over powering and you could still hold a conversation at your table. Games available for the kids. Nick's Roast beef truck outside provided exceptional food choice. I put this brewery on my "I'll be back" list

I’m very biased toward Locust Lane in the most positive way. The brewing, the atmosphere, the feel of the place are conducive to enjoy some well crafted beer. Albeit, the interior is somewhat utilitarian, it definitely exudes a beer brewing atmosphere. I understand that the interior may not appeal to all, but most craft beer aficionados will likely find some level of comfort here. The service and demeanor of the beer tenders are first class. Exterior tables which are cordoned off make for a decent place to enjoy good weather with your beer. Dedicated food truck service from Nicks Roast Beef (the one on Cottman Ave in NE Philadelphia); you order at the bar and your food is brought out to you. Locust Lane is a great contributor to the Chester County craft beer community.

Had a great time there on Friday night, my first time visiting. Great live music being played, industrial/hip/comfy vibe, crowded but not crazy packed. Also kid-friendly. Didn't have a beer that I didn't enjoy, and thought the cheesesteak egg rolls and wings were both very solid. The bartenders were friendly, knowledgeable and quick with a recommendation. Good selection of brews - I thought the kolsch and the amber were very drinkable, and I liked the GameDay IPA in cans as a finisher before I moved on for the evening. Great times - thanks!
