Lititz Bikeworks was a quick and seamless way to rent bikes and then use the Lititz/Ephrata Rails to Trail trail. Bikes worked well, and the prices were very reasonable ($10 for two hours). Great experience overall; highly recommend and would definitely use Lititz Bikeworks again!

Reached out to Bike Works for a new bike for my 9yr old during this pandemic. What an amazing level of service. Mark and his team where incredibly helpful and knowledgeable on the correct bike for my daughters needs. They were able to order the bike, build the bike and deliver the bike within a 24hr window so that my daughter could enjoy the early spring weather.

Drove out 2hrs to pick up the bike as couldn’t find any of the local shops where able to assist.

Added benefit Is the location and area of the shop and looking forward to visiting Bike Works And Mark and his team when the physical distancing is lifted along with my family.

Great job and thank you

My husband and I wanted to rent electric bikes and we were glad to find that this place had them. It was a Tuesday, but they're closed on Tuesdays? Kinda strange, but the owner knew Wednesday was supposed to rain and we only had 2 days, so he came in on his day off to set us up. So far so good, but then he just got the bikes out for us, have a little info about them, a map and left. He never checked to see if they worked that we could ride them. Etc. He gave us his number and left. I am a short female, and he gave me a bike with a straight crossbar and high seat, which I couldn't even mount. Had he waited 5 minutes he wouldn't seen that. So now here we were with bikes we couldn't use. I called him and explsined, he was clearly annoyed and said there was bring he could do, he had no other bikes, and wouldn't be able to come back for 45 minutes. Turns out there was a bike share program that he ran, that he didn't even suggest to us. A mother customer who was equally upset at him being closed on Tuesday showed up after he left and told us about it.
We found it and went through the online process to get a bike, paid, but the code didn't work for the bike lock. So we had to call him again about this issue. He called back and was even more annoyed at me. He figured out we had selected the wrong bike share.. you couldn't even see there were 2 on a phone...and yelled at me. Because now he "had to refund that charge too"
We finally got bikes and enjoyed a great afternoon on the Warwick-ephrara rail trail, but he could've made it day, and his, so much better by just waiting to see if we were ok. For owners that supposedly really know their stuff, that was a rookie mistake.

I wanted to help small business during this unprecedented crisis we are going through. A friend of mine in the Lancaster Bicycle Club mentioned Lititz Bikeworks is offering to pick up your bicycle if you cannot bring it to them. I was able to so I drove it over. They met me curbside, took my bike in, did a more thorough assessment than has ever been done, kept me in the loop via phone and email the entire time and gave me back a well tuned bike. I will stop using my current bike shop and drive the extra 20 minutes to utilize the services at Lititz Bikeworks.

I can't say enough about how much I love Lititz Bikeworks. I bought my Specialized Electric assist bike from them last year only to have an unrelated injury sideline me for most of 2019. This year, they were kind enough to pick up, inspect, repair and then return my bike to me in a matter of days. Since it will be my main transportation for the rest of the year, God Willing, I was pleased as punch to see how effortlessly it rode despite a not so great weather day. Can't wait for warmer nights so I can trade my POS car for riding in the fresh country air. Not only did they do exceptional work but they kindly checked back with me to make certain that there were no problems. I highly recommend them for their attention to detail during both sale and service. 5 stars is not enough.

First time riding on this trail. It won’t be our last either.Such a great spot to visit I would encourage others to visit as well as it won’t disappoint. We stopped by Lititz Bikeworks and met the owner, he was super nice and very knowledgeable of area and of course, bikes. The bike rental was easy, bikes are in good condition and the Biking path is in great condition, extremely scenic from open farm land to park like settings to local town settings. Really looking forward to our next trip so we can explore the area even further.

My pedals kept skipping off the chain so I took it in and talked to Mark. He showed me the measurement tool he uses to see if a chain has stretched too much. This helped me understand how much a chain can stretch so I knew what to look for in the future.

He said some people tend to replace chains every 1,000 miles or so, and this chain was at about 2,500 which made sense that it was ready to be replaced. He let me take the bike for a test ride in the parking lot, to see if a new chain alone would do the trick. Unfortunately the new chain by itself didn't fix the issue. So he told me the next step was to replace the cassettes, the teeth of which were pretty worn down.

I picked up the bike a couple hours later after they had replaced the key parts and lubed up some other parts. The next day I took it on a 40-mile ride and it was like new! Very smooth and the chain didn't skip a single time. Everything felt very smooth, like skating on fresh ice after the zamboni goes over it. Thank you!

This is THE place in Eastern U.S. to get a bike. They know what they are selling, only sell the best, and consider you as an individual. Additionally, they service what they sell with concern and exactness. The employees and owner are not only knowledgeable and trustworthy, they are caring and involved community members. from making sure bike trails are ever growing and accessible to raising funds for local concerns. If you want, or need a bike, get from the good neighbors at Lititz Bikeworks. And do not forget to ask them where to ride, they know every road, trail, and bike club around.

This was a super experience. The man in the bike store suggested the bike share when we told him we’d like to ride around Amish country. He gave us some suggestions for where to get off the trail and see a covered bridge and also stop at a roadside Amish farm (Hoovers). The market there was very nice. I accidentally put Ephrata in when I purchased online instead of Lititz but when I called he just suggested we drive the short distance to Ephrata and begin from there. I purchased the 4 hour because we hadn’t eaten yet and knew we would stop and take some pictures. It would be fun to take a pic you ch for this. Trail was easy. There were a few uphill parts but nothing I couldn’t handle and I’m 55.
