took my kids there when they were younger and not to long ago ( now 28 ) it was a nice learning experience than and know on how they collect the fish eggs, and raise them to be released back into the rivers & lakes
We had never been to the hatchery before. My 6 year old enjoyed seeing the big tank inside, especially the gigantic cat fish at the bottom. I think it would have been more enjoyable is someone from the PA Game Commission was there to explain...More
IF you are in the area you should check it out. It is interesting to see so many fish in one spot. Kids like it and enjoy taking bread to throw and feed the fish. It is best to take inexpensive or stale bread with...More
Great thing to stop and see while visiting Pymatuning. Just down the road from the spillway, it does a good job of providing information on the local fish and wildlife. Always seem to learn something new with each trip.

We received a guided tour of the facility by a very knowledgeable guide that explained the need and purpose of the facility and exactly how they raise millions of fish every year. An absolutely fascinating tour.

this facility is right down the road from the Linesville Spillway and a nice secondary (free) stop when feeding the carp at the spillway. Interesting displays and a fun way to spend an hour or so.

Nice and educational would have been really great if an employee could have been around to explain more and a tour would have been great . I am sure they were busy on break or lunch. They only have so much time to squeeze in...More
