Bucknell University has high reputation and ranking in Liberal Arts, Engineering and Biology/Animal Behavior. It's costly and seems out of reach for us at the first place, but with scholarships it's like my child's dream comes true. My daughter got accepted to several other colleges that offered somewhat more scholarships, but this one was her first choice not only because of great academics but also gorgeous location, and after hearing her saying timidly something like, "Well, I guess it might be ok if I have to pick the other one, I just focus on my study and don't look at the place too much for 4 years...". So that's it, Bucknell it is. And she is studying hard and lives happily ever after...

My daughter attends school there. She’s in her second year. The campus is huge and the buildings are lovely. She enjoys most of her classes and she likes the smaller class sizes.

Bucknell is a great university, especially the engineering program. However it comes at a high price! Check out the internet for current tuition, room and board and you will see that one either has to have some serious cash to go here or be eligible for grants/scholarships. The campus is first-rate as far as the quality of the facilities and the aesthetics. It is situated in Lewisburg of course and there is not enough that I can say about the town. Some refer to it as the "Williamsburg of Pennsylvania." Students often graduate and then return to the area as they had such a great experience when they were attending college here. Bucknell University has invested heavily in the Lewisburg downtown area as they have the bookstore there, purchased the local theatre and renovated the US Post Office building to make it office space for the university as well as continue to serve the USPS. As a result, the students are more drawn to the downtown than in earlier decades which brings about a better feeling of "community" between them and the local residents. Last year the new dorms were opened on campus so that a greater portion of the student body would reside there. Off campus living is now restricted to a lottery system.

Beautiful campus. Nice students. Math faculty are not good educators. Good liberal arts education. Administrators do not care about students.

As an alumni I was back at Bucknell for first time in quite a number of years. It's still as beautiful as ever, with quality academics. But sad to see that it's fallen to political correctness found at so many universities.

I'm ready to go, I wonder if I could get in... Yes, it's roughly $60,000 per year, but man, what a way to spend four years! We arrived after driving up Routes 11 and 15 (very strange roads, by the way, almost as if they had decayed from a "prime" from 1950, pre interstate...), having visited Dickinson College the day before, and were taken on a tour by the most charming young woman (a Junior) who made this college seem quite idyllic. The school is in the most quaint town, quite literally in the middle of nowhere to this Western New England family. The informational session only added to the appeal. It felt right, and impressed us all, although I think my wife and I liked it the most. I would feel so comfortable having my daughter go to this school in what felt like a safe town that seemed to love its college. Wouldn't it be nice if we could go back to college every ten years or so? I know I'm ready...

Bucknell University provides an outstanding foundation for all its students. Bucknellians are taught to think critically thus creating very marketable employees.

For anyone seeking a studious college atmosphere in a beautiful setting in the area around Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, it’s hard to do better than Bucknell University. We rode our bikes here from downtown Lewisburg up a few major hills to get to campus, and from there we had a gorgeous view of the countryside while surrounded by young students aimed at furthering their education and absorbing knowledge into their maturing brains. In this era of COVID spread, we also came across a few classes being held outside. Cherry Wonderdog only wishes there were other canines roaming the quad with whom to frolic in the grass.

We recently finished a week of college tours, and Bucknell University was truly a stand-out for many reasons. We were able to do a special engineering tour, which included a tour of the engineering classrooms and labs. The tour guide was a chemical engineering student who shared interesting information about her undergraduate research. In addition, three students toured us around campus and were also incredibly friendly and informative, very patient with everyone's questions even in cold, snowy weather. The tour included an information session and access to the dining hall, dorm room, and many academic buildings. Gives a comprehensive view of the culture and personality of the university.
