The shop where I used to buy quilts closed due to the owner retiring , I have been looking for a new special shop for awhile. I went to Riehl’s after visiting several shops on a friend’s recommendation. It is a bit of a drive, pleasant through expansive farm land. The shop itself is is located on a working farm. We were warmly greeted by a young woman who worked with me to find “my” quilt. The quilts were well organized and it was easy to see the various patterns, I fell in love with about half a dozen. We folded and unfolded several quilts easily chatting as the time flew by. I bought a beautiful quilt with a cathedral pattern, they had a wonderful selection of these, more than other shops I had visited, and they were well priced . The shop had many other quilted items at various price points as well as holiday items and various styled pillows. There was no pressure to make a purchase and the saleswoman gave me time both to look by myself as well ax’s spent time with me when I requested her to. Overall a wonderful shopping experience and I will treasure and enjoy my new quilt, I have clearly found my new quilt shop! …

They do have other crafts and some animals in the building next to the shop. It is one of the more commercialized places now.…

A beautiful stop when visiting Lancaster-many beautiful, locally made quilts and crafts-lovely, knowledgeable staff as well to answer all of your questions. We visit Lancaster twice a year and Riehl's is always our first and last stop during our stay.
