I know it's been a tough summer, but your ball lands on only two surfaces- crabgrass or dirt. Tee boxes are not too bad; greens are bumpy and beat up. Fairway rough is horrible- excess (4-5" length) cut grass completely hides a ball. Cart paths have always been gravel , but rough ditches jar the spine. After nine holes, we... More

I've played here a few times this year and while the course still needs work it's gotten better. The greens need a lot of TLC and so do the fairways. I don't understand why they don't cut away all the underbrush that lines the course. Anyway this is not a PGA course but can be fun. Be aware they do... More

I just got done playing this past weekend and the course is in really good condition. I'll admit a few years ago it wasn't playable and since I'm local that left me without a good course nearby. This year I've played Chisel 4 times and I've been happy with the course conditions. It's in decent shape and the rounds are... More

I played there yesterday for the 2nd time this year. The layout isn't bad, but they really need to address the course condition. Most of the middle round holes (6-14) are a muddy mess even in the driest of times. Edges of the fairway are overgrown with noxious weeds to the point that any ball not is the fairways is... More

The course itself is decent shape. The people there were fairly nice. The pace of play makes it unbearable. We waited 5-10 minutes on every hole just to tee off. It wasn't the group in front of us either, they just overbooked the day. There were a hold up for five groups ahead of us as well. We even tried... More

Chisel Creek opened in 1999 and the germs were amazing. Some holes such as 7 were quirky at best. Over the years course conditions went south but two years ago a new super came in. There was a good improvement in 2014 but fairways suffered from years of lack of attention. They were airated and re-seeded in the fall of... More

AWFUL! No matter how cheap your round, this course is not worth it. Ownership is indifferent and unwilling to spend money on promised/advertised upgrades and amenities.

It has been two years since I last played Chisel Creek...I like the layout, but condition was always the problem. Things haven't changed. While they have shaved the fairways, they are still chock full of clover, and various other invasive weeds, not to mention in need of serious over-seeding. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because the... More

Course is okay. Great value for price. Nice people. Some interesting holes. If you are in the area, it's definitely one of a few good choices for public golf.

I am an average to below average golfer. Chisel Creek is a good value, especaily the twilight rate. While I have seen better maintained courses, this one works just fine for my level of play. Friendly staff, also open all year. I will be back!
