Don't presume that the show is family friendly. I just saw Rock of Ages. It was "rated" PG-13, but it should have been "R" for raunchy. I was sorry to have brought my 14 year old son; he got an eye and earful. The food was decent, but the seating is tight. Unless you are a party of 4 or 8, you will likely be seated with others. The actors and actresses had impressive voices, but the acting was cheesy...though that could be because the play was written just to tie a bunch of random 80's songs together. It's too expensive for what it is. For the same price (or close to the same price), you can get tickets to Sight and Sound for a truly amazing and unique theatrical experience minus the buffet.

I wasn't sure what to expect with their children's show Pinkalicious the Musical but it was AMAZING! The show was fun and entertaining, actually hilarious at times, the music was great! The buffet was... "kids food" so don't expect much there but they did have a salad bar, cupcakes, coffee and other drinks. You have about an hour to eat and the show itself is an hour. The playbill had word games for the kids to play, and the best part was the cast stayed on stage for an adorable and informative Q&A afterwards!!! My kids (ages 6, 6, 9) and us had the best time! Highly recommend!!!

The food as the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre is what you would expect out of a buffet, but the show was more than I could have ever imagined. The cast was amazing and their performance of Singin in the Rain made me feel like I was on Broadway.

The theater is in need of a major renovation. We visited on a very cold January day and the theater could have been warmer. The food was average and there was no soup served this day. The food temperature was also on the cooler side.

The show, Branson on the Road, was excellent . The musical talent of the performers was superb. I would still continue to recommend this theater based on the quality of the shows and performers they still attract.

Overall, it was a nice evening. First time for a few of us locals. The actors were great, the show was great.
The venue is very tight. Small tables and small old chairs. It's needs an update on the inside.
Tables are only seated as groups of 2, 4 or 6. We had 5 in our party and could not book. We had to leave one person out.
The buffet food was nothing to write home about. It was average and plain. Chicken was very dry.
It was tight to turn and sit through the entire show on those very old chairs. My seat was lumpy and saggy in parts. I wanted to like it more but new comfortable chairs would be nice. A little larger table, we were so very cramped trying to eat and move around.
We did enjoy the show itself, Mama Mia, was very good and entertaining. Not sure if I would go again until they do some updating.

Mama Mia was a great show with wonderful singing, dancing and acting. However, although their website says they strongly recommend mask wearing when not eating, we were the only ones wearing a mask. There was no way to know if we were surrounded by unvaccinated patrons or not so although we were fully vaccinated we were very uncomfortable during the evening, especially with all the breakthrough infections. There was also no social distancing in the lobby and no announcement was made before the performance regarding masking. It is unfortunate with such an outstanding show that at least some COVID precautions were not being taken. Kudos to the cast and servers who were all masked.

We were there to see Mama Mia. The show was ok. The food was good. We had 2, 17 year old young ladies, sitting with us. We had the best time talking and getting to know them. Getting to the Theater was a bit tricky. They need to put a much bigger sign for those that are not familiar with the area. We would go back again

Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre is a fun way to spend an evening in the area. The food is fair, the reason for 4 stars; however, the entertainment is excellent. The buffet is basic food which was not my favorite. The shows are great. This time we saw "Mama Mia." The vocals were beautiful, costumes fun and colorful, and acting very good. The women who played Sophie and Donna were awesome!

We went for a Saturday Matinee. I have nothing good to say about the food. It was poor quality and the pans were empty quite frequently. Service was ok at best. Certainly was not good service. Show was very good. We enjoyed the show. If we ever go again we will try to get show only tickets. Food was definitely not worth the cost. Show only rating would be excellent.
