This is an old theme park geared towards kids. We traveled with a 5yo and twin 2.5yo so it was expensive. For the price, it was great for a one-time visit, but as a mother who only rode like 2 rides but had to pay admission because of the kids....meh. There are no fans while waiting in lines, just keep that in mind if you go in the heat of the Summer. Also, most buttons on the rides don't work (unsure what they use to do, but now just for looks- an operator told me they use to work so I know they are old). We live near Dollywood and have season passes there so this was a comparison visit. (Dolly does it right...fans and AC everywhere.) It was crowded in the middle of the day, but we only had to wait a long time on one ride - the boat ride on Exploration Island. I'm unsure how many boats were running but there was an extra one just sitting there, with people lined up to the end of the allotted line space. Several rides could have run more efficiently overall, as it is geared towards children with less patience than adults. Again, please see Dollywood as a reference! They did have some pretty unique rides that the kids were able to ride several times. We felt like we hit everything they wanted to do at least once and my husband even got to ride the big coasters. The park was only open for 8h but we did it in about 7 and felt unrushed. "Have a Dutch Wonderful day!"

Went August 9th with my 3 4 year olds. What a cool park geared specifically for toddlers to middle schoolers I’d say. Clean, neat, no lines at all. You might wait one or two rotations at most unless you went on the boat ride around Dinosaur Island. As I said, clean park, pleasant attendants, friendly people/families. My kids walked and rode from open to close. Pretty good for 4 year olds! The Lagoon is real cool, a parents “natural” babysitter. It’s expensive, I payed $43 per for the 5 of us plus $3.50 a water, $6 for snacks etc. but why work if you’re not going to enjoy spending it (price gauging at a park? Who’d have thought?) It was worth every penny. Kids had a fantastic time. If you have a toddlers and/or middle schoolers and haven’t been I’d suggest it. All the kids were smiles from ear to ear. YouTube it.

Also, if you have toddlers and are outnumbered like we were (2 parents, 3 kids who need adult partnering some rides) grab another big kid (4 footer plus) or adult. It’ll allow you to pair up and ride together.

Great place for small kids. Those around 9 or so would probably find it boring. My three year old granddaughter LOVED it. It was incredibly hot on the day that we visited but there is a lot of shade and the lines were quite short. We had researched in advance and knew about the waterpark so we took bathing suits and towels. Around lunchtime we went over and spent about an hour cooling off in the spray and splash park which was a terrific break to cool off. We had packed our own lunch so we simply went back to our car and cranked up the air conditioning and ate our lunch in the vehicle which gave the kids some time to rest. We went back in and had a great time until the little one’s battery ran out.

The park was very tidy and everyone was nice. I was surprised to have to pay to park. Even though we had read that they did not allow you to take food and drink into the park, because of Covid the water fountains were all shut down so you could bring drinks and light snacks into the park. That was great because I think we drank several gallons of water! The restaurants and snack bars would fill up your water bottle for you with icy cold water. That was a very nice benefit. Towards the end of the day, We found the mothers nursing room which was great. It was air-conditioned and gave my daughter time to breast-feed her six month old in a private and clean spot.

The changing rooms in the water park were sweltering, they should have had the ceiling fans running, but instead they were turned off. By the time we got both kids and ourselves into bathing suits we were nearly ready to pass out because of the heat in that stifling changing area. The bathroom just outside of the park behind the monorail building was truly disgusting and filthy. Try to wait if possible until you get in the park or go before you leave. Avoid that bathroom at all cost. Ewwwww. Otherwise the bathrooms were pretty decent.

If you plan your day and plan your trip, you can have a very good time with little ones there. I suggest you take your own lunch and leave it in a cooler in your car. Get your hand stamped so you can come back into the park after eating your lunch. Take water bottles and get them refilled in the park. Make use of the mothers nursing room if appropriate. Wish we would’ve found that earlier in the day.

My 5 year old son got clipped by the door on the Mono Rail ride since the driver wanted to rush everyone on the ride so they can get off on time. It was a very scary moment as the door would not open even when my wife pulled as hard as she could. My son was crying and my wife was shaking afterwards. People stopped and asked if we were okay. My wife told the driver you need to check before closing the door and the operator just came out and gave us a smart reply back saying " I did check before closing the door". Not even a sorry. We went to management about it and all we received was a sorry we will talk with the driver and sorry it happened to you. As my day with my kids were ruined not even a discount or credit voucher. As we paid for a happy family experience I felt we did not receive that as the experience left my son crying and wife shaking. Too bad as we were regulars and we had spent over $250.00 that day. I will never go back again after that experience. It just seems like they do not care about their guests experiences.

Great venue for kids with lots of rides for various ages while not being so big that it is unmanageable to walk. Staff were very friendly and engaged with my kids, which is rare for amusement parks.

The downside was that 99% were unmasked, Including children who are not eligible for vaccines yet as they were under age 12. There was absolutely no enforcement of masks even indoors and no social distancing whatsoever in lines. It would be very easy to put mask signs on every door that leads to an indoor space, like where people wait in line for the monorail, or announcements over the loudspeaker, but there was nothing of the sort. It made it very uncomfortable, and I had to continually remind people to give enough space between families in lines. My children wore a mask all 7 hours we were there: it’s not that difficult for the park to do a better job on this critical issue. I cannot recommend visiting until children can be vaccinated, which is a shame because it’s otherwise a great place.

1. Liberal rain check policy allowed my family to re-visit Sunday following a Friday afternoon rain out.
2. Short wait times on an overcast/rainy Friday in the middle of summer.
3. Tickets are currently discounted to $23/pp + tax/fees. This change occurred Monday (8/3) of our vacation.
4. Kids age 2 and under are free!
5. Friendly security who did their job while understanding need to bring in baby food and milk.
6. Friendly customer service, Diane, explained we could visit the park on Sunday even though our rain check ticket numbers couldn't be accepted by the RSVP website.
7. Water area and dry rides are all one park, one price
8. Park size is manageable. The turnpike cars went out of service, and it was easy to come back later vs. larger theme parks.

1. The park is not worth the $46 stick price, $42 online price, nor the $39 Weis Markets price if doing dry rides only. If a family is able to arrive at 10AM and stay to 6PM hitting the water and dry sides with limited wait times they could maximize the value. However, any family with young kids, by 2PM, its nap time and the visit is over.
2. The price is lower because several of the attractions are closed due to COVID-19 or management decision from lower visitor count.
3. Ride reliability was lower than expected. The train was delayed into service, the Turnpike taken out twice, and once half the rides stopped working from an electrical issue.
4. The park is cramped with limited space for walkways. We successfully visited with a family member in a wheelchair but it was not easy. For example, the monorail has a 1-1/2 story flight of concrete steps with no other access. Even getting her one and off the train was a bit of an ordeal due to the posts and queue fence. I get it, the Clark family built the park in the 1960s and Dutch doesn’t have a lot of property, but, other venues have improved on this front.
5. The water park is a nice slash park, not a water park. It’s fun for toddlers. The only ride is a pair of water slides.
6. It’s worth a try, but there are better deals for family fun. If you have never been, go now for ~$25 while the discount lasts.
7. I frequently visit and highly recommend for families of all ages the park near Rt. 487 & 54 intersection.

Sat. July 25th, the train crossing rail broke, so that was annoying but oh well things happen. We go to the Nathan's Hot Dog at the entrance and get a cold nasty hot dog, with a stale bun. A cheeseburger that is like a rubber doggie chew toy and a watered down pepsi for nearly $18. Ok sure, park food is more expensive than the same airport food, but at least Nathan's at the airport is hotter, fresher, and more delicious than this garbage they serve at price gauging rates. Then we go to the cafeteria not long after this first nasty meal at Nathan's. Wow a cold skinny pizza for $4? The avocado turkey was nothing more than a stale hard piece of cardboard box bread, with 1 piece of turkey and some rotten avocado's for nearly $8. Again what a rip off. If you're gonna serve food, do it right, if you're not, then bring someone else in like Hershey does, Subway, Chick-Fil-A, Wendy's, Jersey Mikes...but this garbage they serve should be illegal. The kicker is, the place is not even that busy, and the young employee's are about the most unhappy and disgruntled people I've ever witnessed behind their masks. The men's room next to the Potato Shack, well on the metal hand rail, there is fecal matter smeared from someone who tried to reach the toilet paper hanging down from the dispenser onto the hand rail. I guess they talk about "COVID-19" cleaning and yet they can't even clean the restrooms properly. This was shortly after we entered around 10am, so that fecal was dried on there and never cleaned. I see the young manager walking around in his nice long sleeve shirt and dress pants, with dress shoes. I don't know what they pay him to do, unless he is the family owner walking around in the heat looking pretty. Just stay inside the A/C office and don't come out, if you're not going to check on your property. Oh, I guess he doesn't check the men's room for cleanliness? I guess he doesn't notice how "unfriendly" the employee's are either. For 4 hrs on a 2nd Saturday visit, I spent about nearly $100 coming up from D.C. with a season pass. The 2 cowboy hats we bought last Saturday, opening weekend, already tore apart this Saturday when the kids brought it up there to use it again. Probably better off taking your kids to a local beach.

I used to take my children here and they loved it but this last visit was horrible. This place has become one of the biggest tourist traps I have ever seen (somehow moreso than Hershey Park) and somehow they still dont know how to properly handle large volumes of people. I have never seen more teen employees in my life AND they all seemed sad to even be there. Honestly im not even sure how they get away with the amount of young teens they have working under them. The rides seem to be getting outdated and this theme park is in major need of an update STAT. For the price of admission and the limited rides id honestly just suggest going to Hershey Park and avoiding this place at all costs.

Dutchwonderlands attempt at planning, implementing and enforcing covid 19 social distancing guidelines is poor at best. Before you enter the park you think they have it together. Tempature checks. Mask enforcement plenty of distance kept between park visitors. Once your in the park all that goes out the window. Your crammed in lines that recommend 6 foot spacing with the person in front of you. Yet in the corrals your standing shoulder to shoulder with the person. Next to you.
The water park was a complete mess. Hundreds of people on top of each other. Running playing eating no masks anywhere. Didn't even bring the family in that area.
Basically went on 4 kiddie ridea with no lines then left

We went on a Sat snd it was more crowded than I anticipated. Def don’t eat here. The food is overpriced as expected but also not good except the fries. We ended up eating when the food place was most crowded and most people were not wearing masks. We tried to sit at a table outside but we’re basically stalked by a bee so had to move inside. I found the crowd to be pretty patient and everyone was smiling courteous Everyone has young kids. Our kids had fun. We went with my three kids ages 9,7 and 6 and my niece who is 7 my sis and my father also my 13 yo nephew. My 13 yo nephew who loved the park years ago was over it now othet than the big rollercoaster and the flume. My kids loved the flume, the turtle twister thing, the little purple rollercoaster, and the train. Who doesn’t love a relaxing train ride. The rides are short enough so thr kids don’t get bored. The ride operators were all really patient and careful it seemed. We didn’t go on everything. The dinosaur attraction on exploration island is pretty old and tired looking. And the boat ride line we just walked off of cause it was taking too long. My kids loved the car ride on exploration island where they could press the pedal and drive. I’d go again but wouldn’t eat there othet then snacks and pretzels. And I’d go when it’s not crowded. It was nice that it wasn’t super hot when we went Stay away from the food places. O and lots of bees everywhere bZz
