Rock Ford Plantation is the 18th Century mansion and estate of Revolutionary War General Edward Hand, who served as Adjutant to George Washington. Built circa 1794, over 90% of the original historic fabric of the house, including shutters, woodwork, floors and glass, is intact. During the guided tour of the mansion, visitors will learn about Edward Hand's personal and military history as well as the background of the mansion and the artifacts contained therein.

Interesting house/ plantation tour. Enjoyed the beautiful & expansive grounds.If you like history, you'll love this tour. One room was left untouched from the state it was in when renovations began in 1956. Very interesting to see that.

We attended a wedding at this lovely historical site. The house and gardens are beautifully kept, and the docents are in period costumes and very well informed. The barn is a beautiful place for a wedding reception as well.

We enjoyed walking the grounds and touring the house. The tour guide was very informative. We just thought over all, the history of the house and past owners wasn't overly exciting. No regrets for going though.More
