Rock Ford Plantation is the 18th Century mansion and estate of Revolutionary War General Edward Hand, who served as Adjutant to George Washington. Built circa 1794, over 90% of the original historic fabric of the house, including shutters, woodwork, floors and glass, is intact. During the guided tour of the mansion, visitors will learn about Edward Hand's personal and military history as well as the background of the mansion and the artifacts contained therein.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job walking us through the house. Was a short tour but definitely worth the small fee they ask for. Beautiful piece of property and close to town. Def recommend.More

Hannah did such a great job with our large group of nine taking the tour. She answered all of our questions and really made it an interesting experience. We highly recommend this to anyone visiting Lancaster!
